Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Brenham

This the second time I stopped at this place within the last year or so, traveling from Houston. I wasn't terribly impressed the first time, but it would do in a pinch of convenience regarding location off of 290. They seemed to be in a constant state of disorder. I was quickly seated and placed the order after a short wait. I ordered some kind of Burritos de Lujo off the menu. After I got my food which was pretty good, it was as if I was literally invisible. I had literally finished eating for 20 minutes with service people speeding back and forth. I wanted a to go container and a ticket so I could get back on the road. They had the buffet going which a lot of the people were eating off of. It wasn't really like it was packed. I tried repeatedly to catch someone's eye or attention without making a scene. I finally managed to flag down the manager who I had seen check with just about every table except mine. He got my ticket right away. I've never been so totally ignored in a restaurant EVER. The waiter who took my order never once stopped by my table again. You could tell the regulars that were local, because they just kept checking on them and chatting and running around. The girl at the front desk asked me if I would like to leave a tip...I'm like NO! And I don't think I can remember ever having done that before. For the price of the order at $13 not including tax and the horrible service and the mediocre food, no ma'am I do not want to leave a tip! NO. That's it. I'll never...

Apparently, according to Google, reviews are based on stars and I must rank this restaurant with a 1 star as if the restaurant is receiving a participation trophy. We arrived to the restaurant after driving for miles with the anticipation of eating one of our favorite meals. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The food was cold and flavorless. They were egar to take our order but after the dinner was served, they forgot about us. We had to signal out to staff several times to get noticed. We asked for another plate twice and received a saucer instead by host. The charro beans had no taste and in fact the beans had a "I've been reheated after being in the refrigerator for 2 days taste." This place should be ashamed of the food they serve. I travel alot for work, and eat out at least 10x per week. This was the worst food I have ever had. The entry smells like old mop water. Drinks were empty for a solid 10 minutes. The queso is half cheese wiz and queso. The bacon wrapped shrimp was so over cooked it was ridiculous. We were suppose to recieve stuffed chicken with the appetizer plate, and we recieved super dry ribs instead. The guacamole tastes like its from a can. The tortillas were rubbery. The salsa was atrocious. I will eat at McDonalds before ever stepping foot in this place again. And I hate McDonalds...
