Product: Delicious, fresh burgers made from “grain-fed” beef. Their soups and deserts are homemade, and “Just like mama used to make!” I especially love their chicken tortilla soup! I appreciate that they also use and sell products from “local” vendors. Community matters. People: I’ve been popping in here for three years, and the owners, cooks and cashiers have been consistently friendly, professional and attentive to the customer. First time I went in, 2 hours before closing, I was told they could not serve me a (cold!) turkey sandwich because “the grill is already shut down.” Tried again another day, because of all the glowing reviews, and was really disappointed in the sandwich made. I ordered turkey, cheddar, lettuce, and mayo on sourdough. Simple enough? The lettuce was forgotten, the bread was stale, the mayo was scant and not spread around (they squirt it), and the cheese had begun to harden around the edges. I used to spend money at this store 2 to 3 days a week some weeks. However, I will never spend another dime at this over priced “deli.” I work not far from this store and just so happened to bring a small bowl of spaghetti for lunch one day recently but didn’t have a way of heating it up.
