Highly recommend dining here for delicious food at a low price. They bring you soup as soon as you sit down. The reason for a star deduction is they brought our entrees right after receiving the salad and egg roll appetizer. I would have preferred time to eat the salad ($2) and egg rolls ($2 for 2)before receiving my entree. I replaced my rice with extra veggies to my chicken hibachi($8) for $1 and then a side of fried rice for $2.50. Such a deal! I should have not ordered the rice and just ate from my friend’s rice because it’s a large portion. The food is fresh and they use high quality ingredients. They leave a bottle of white yum yum sauce at your table! It’s so good. Plenty of parking in the attached lot. We saw many people getting take out. It’s a no thrills ambiance but amazing food and affordable.

This is a review from a visit in December of 2022. We were heading to the restaurant across the highway which happened to be closed for maintenance. We ended up here. The restaurant could definitely have used a decor overhaul. The two dishes look almost identical. I had hibachi pork that is made with bell peppers, mushrooms and onion. The hubby had the beef, chicken and shrimp with broccoli. Both dishes came with sauteed carrots and white rice. Morning really stood out with our meals. They weren't bad but not the best we've had. I would like to try it again too see if anything has changed.

Pleasantly surprised by Fuji Yama. I was expecting another generic hibachi restaurant, but this place is amazing. The food here is very fresh and tender. You don’t have to worry about eating anything dry. You can also substitute in other vegetables or other types of rice for no additional cost. The teriyaki sauce here is very delicious. It’s not overly sweet and has a nice ginger flavor to it. I highly recommend the teriyaki steak here, it isn’t dry at all like almost every other hibachi restaurant. Give this place a try, you probably won’t regret it.

We have been eating here since they opened. We have always had excellent service and never had a bad experience until recently and now we've had two in just the last month or so. We love to support local small businesses so not long after they first opened back up after being closed for months we went by to place a carryout order. Their signage stated their dining room was closed but there were a couple of tables with large parties seated inside. I walked up to the counter to order and everyone was back at the kitchen but they all saw me standing there. No one acknowledged me. I stood there for a good five minutes being ignored so I left. I debated ever going back.

Then yesterday we went by again for carryout (against my better judgement). The woman at the register (who I'd never seen until the last time I went) appeared disorganized at best. A lady was there to pick up an order and there were three or four on the pickup table but none of them were hers. I placed my order, paid and sat down to wait. (She never said thank you.) A few more people came in for carryout while I was there. Still orders on the table but the first lady still didn't get hers. My order came out and I left. I have never felt the need to check my order before I left there before and it has never been wrong in all the years we've been going there. Yesterday it was and of course we didn't know until we got home. We ordered two chicken meals with no mushrooms (just like always) and have always had a portion so large it was almost too much. This time one was correct and the other was almost nothing BUT mushrooms. Once I removed all the mushrooms there was barely any chicken at all.

I don't know what happened other than almost all of the usual people working there seem to have been replaced by different people who don't want to be there. The woman at the counter was borderline rude so at this point I really don't know if we'll give them another chance and that's sad because I had been recommending them to everyone looking for a place with great food at a great price. I don't feel comfortable doing...

Leaving a one star because I can’t leave my experience without one. I called to place a 6 plate togo order a woman answered and I told her what I wanted and she said we don’t have that and hung up. I called 4 more times thinking maybe I should explain it better but there was no answer. I drove up there walked in the door and the lady who had answered my original call was working the front register. I pulled out my paper with my order and began to place my Togo order again she got attitude and told me she couldn’t do it. She pulled out a menu to show me and I began pointing to what I wanted she got frustrated with me picked up the phone and walked away sending another woman up to take my order. The Second Lady asked me what I wanted and I explained to her I wanted rice plates with multiple meats she said she could do side orders of the additional meats which was fine. My order was put in and I paid 101$ plus I left a 15% tip because I’ve worked food service and know that’s how they make a living as well. The sign posted in the front says to check your order before leaving as they brought my bags forward I started untying the bags the rude lady (#1 lady) stuck her hands over my bag and told me it was all there. Me and my niece started carrying bags out to the vehicle to check there. As I went inside to grab the rest she was outside the door with our food and said “here that’s it we are done here” I checked the bags and drove home. When I got home we began eating and realized 2 of the plates had no rice at all in them when I specifically asked for rice plates with all vegetables in them. Every time we come the same lady is constantly rude and always has attitude it blows my mind you treat people like garbage after spending money time and time again. Definitely changed my outlook on this place...

Tbh I'm very surprised that it has the high rating it does...immediately upon walking in it smells so bad. It smells like sewer water, rotten food, and sweat. I think these reviews are coming from people who 1. Have never eaten food. And 2. Desperate, on their death bed. I went to use the restroom and on the door handle, there's a roach... I should've immediately left but I had family with me and they had already been sat with soup. The soup tastes so odd. Like it's old and it's been sitting. We order, get our food. I'm not sure what protein that was but it wasn't chicken. The carrots were also sweet? The rice was still hard. It was also just super plain and borderline unedible. No one from my party ate their food. We get up to go pay and the guy working asked how it was. We told him it wasn't good, respectfully. As we're all checking out, an older lady from behind the food counter was staring us down with a very concerned look. Understandably. Oh also, this was a Sunday. This was also one of the three places open that day. Overall, I would recommend to go to zaxbys or something if you're hungry. That's still not great but it is still better than this place sadly. Oh! The water was good. You could tell it was good...
