Villa Amato — Restaurant in Brevard

The pizzas, salads, wraps, chicken parmigiana, egg plant parmigiana and ALL the fresh bread is INCREDIBLE! It reminds me of the French bread from New Orleans. The whole family works here and are so NICE! You cannot go wrong with anything. Note: they honor rest on Sundays and are closed 😊

We do not dine out for dinner as I often cook. We stop in for a treat from time to time and they are so sweet and patient with us. They remember our order like we were regulars and that means a lot. I have never seen a more hard working and loving family coming together for a family restaurant before.

It was 25 degrees out tonight and the smell of the wood burning fire from outside set the ambiance for our meal. The fire was warm and everyone included our family in conversation. Hands down this is a FAVORITE...

Cute, cozy, and casual. This is a small log cabin with fireplace that was renovated into a restaurant a number of years ago and passed through several owners. I think Villa Amato is here to stay. The food is good, and the atmosphere is cozy but not elegant or even dressy. You can go there and jeans with no problem at all. They have a small outdoor seating area that is under decorated they could make so much out of that! Another thing that I felt they could do better was, they have a big table that pretty much blocks the fireplace. I wish that somehow they could move the tables around so that the fireplace was the centerpiece of the room. In the summer I would put big waxy candles, or even fake candles for safety. This is a nice little Italian restaurant tucked away near the mountains not too far away from a lot of waterfall attractions and scenic overlooks.

Food was really good and fresh, I just wanted to say thank you to the staff that was there. That accommodated us an hour before closing! We Came from the Charlotte Metro area to go to the shadow of the bear scenic overlook. After we were done we came by around 7:00 to get some food before we packed up. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for pizza or any pasta dish. Prices are a little on the heavier side. I will admit but can't complain considering it's probably one of the best spots in the area!

The Baked Penne and Meatballs were fantastic and I wished I had a bigger appetite...
