I don’t ever write reviews, but this place was too good not to write one.
Everything was absolutely incredible. Everything! From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, everything was on point, and made for a memorable, and amazing experience.
Me and my brothers got 2 appetizers, the calamari and the spinach artichoke dip. Both appetizers were incredible, but I especially loved the calamari. The marinara sauce it was paired with was fantastic.
For our main courses, I got the rigatoni arrabiata, my brother got a sandwich, and my other brother got the fettuccine alfredo.
The rigatoni arrabiata was genuinely the best meal I’ve ever eaten. It was absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t believe that I was eating food this good in Bridgeport of all places. No shade to Bridgeport, but this food was on another level.
I tried a few bites of the meals my brothers ordered as well, and they were both fantastic too. The fries that came with my brother’s sandwich were so good, I ordered a side order to take home.
The dessert was amazing as well. We got the blueberry tiramisu, the cannoli, and the gelato. All of them were so very delicious.
While the food was incredible, the service was even better. I can’t praise our server enough, she really knocked it out of the park! I unfortunately can’t remember her name for the life of me, but man, her service was incredible! She was very pleasant to talk to and went above and beyond for us, which was very much appreciated!
We also got to briefly chat with the owner, and he’s a very pleasant guy as well! It was really nice that the owner of such a high class establishment took his time to talk to three regular dudes.
Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough. Everything here is fantastic, and I really hope that this place continues to succeed! It’s a gem for sure and absolutely...
Read moreDanny Barbos the extraordinarily talented executive chef from Turin, Italy is back and now at Dovini's Italian Bar and Grill serving Bridgeport, Texas and well within driving distance of Fort Worth, Decatur, Denton, and those dozens of smaller cities around Bridgeport. We drove in from Plano because we have thoroughly enjoyed Danny's culinary gems from his previous restaurant in north Plano. I nicknamed Danny the "pizza whisperer" because of his unsurpassed skills of crafting the perfect pizza. He was recognized as making the best pizza in New York City in 2012 and featured in the Wall Street Journal. NYC's loss is Texas' gain! Each of his dishes is a masterpiece of presentation and a fiesta for the mouth. All of his pastas are so light and mouth-watering as they dance in his pleasant, savory-enriched sauces that titillate the taste buds. His artistically created salads sound forth like a trumpet on the Fourth of July with an intense yet appropriate fusion of textures and flavors. This "back of house Monet" creates desserts that are without equal both in taste and beauty. Danny's passion for cooking and his love of people make this a culinary marriage that must be...
Read moreI'd like to share my experience yesterday at Dovini. This is a little piece of Italy and Heaven on a plate.vive been there prior and had such great service and food. This time I told myself that I had to post about it. I had the Chicken Marsala which is tender marinated chicken breast covered with a delicious mushroom garlic sauce. It sits on a bed of perfectly cooked spaghetti. It's generous in portion size and sharable for two. However I ate it all!!! We also had a light meat and cheese plate with veggies and olives. The desert was a delicious blueberry tiramisu with whip cream and mint. The prosecco was light and delicious for a hot summer day. The atmosphere was cozy and the service great. Bridgeport is a small and upcoming family town of Ranchers and Real Cowboys. Never expected to find this jewel of a place!!! Everyone is sooo welcoming and attentive. You feel like family. I'll be back again for the delicious food. The Chef is from Italy 🇮🇹 so he knows what he's doing in the kitchen. The food is AUTHENTIC Italian. I've been to Italy several times and I felt like I was back there. Chef Danny we are glad to have you here in Bridgeport offering some...
