Five Boys Restaurant — Restaurant in Bridgeport

I'm not sure where to begin. I went went to breakfast with my parents and they couldn't get 2 out of our 3 orders correct!

I ordered the works omelette with white toast. When the food arrived the waitress the waitress apologized and said the kitchen send it out with Rye and I told her that was fine. Little did I know this was the tip of the iceberg.

After the waitress left, I noticed a jalapeno pepper sticking out. I opened the omelette and they were everywhere. I waved the waitress oner and explained there must have been a mix up and she took my plate away to "fix it". Not 2 minutes later she was back at our table and put down an omelet in front of me and walked away. Turns out either she or someone in the kitchen used to their fingers to pick the peppers of my omelette and sent it back to me!

LET ME POINT THIS OUT AGAIN...SHE OR SOMEONE IN THE KITCHEN PICKED THE PEPPERS OUT AND SENT IT BACK TO ME!!!??

I pushed it way to request a refund and needed to wait for the waitress to come back.

In the meantime, my mom quickly found out that her veggie omelette was stuffed with meat and there wasn't a veggie insight!

We finally spoke with another staff member and at least this person gave us apology, but when we finally spoke to our waitress there wasn't a single "I'm sorry"!

To top it off, we're still charged for our coffees and my father's meal!

I know we will never go back to this place, but I feel anyone considering this place should have a complete picture of what to expect. If you are ok with mixed up orders and the staff returning to you a completely fondled meal, then you will ok. If you want a place that you trust, keep heading...

I was in today for takeout. Unfortunately I will not be back. First and foremost was greeted by a host that apparently does not like her job or just didn’t want to be there, so a rocky start to my take out order. From there we proceeded to place our order. To start off with Fried Pickles then ordered the Brisket Nachos and an Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger. Waited over 30 minutes as the host forgot about it or just didn’t care either way when we finally got our meal and got home, well the meat on my burger was raw the fries were also very soggy. So was unable to eat that I also asked if I could get a side a thousand island dressing of course but didn’t get it. Who puts avocado on the bottom bun first then the meat and cheese . I have always had the meat/cheese then avocado or the lettuce tomato. We also ordered the brisket nachos we asked for extra cheese and they put light cheese. We have come before and the food was good not great but ok good, this time not so much and we will not be coming back. I have always given restaurants chances and this was this particular restaurants third time is a charm chance and it bombed. I would have taken the food back, but it was hot and I was tired and already home so we just threw it away. Hopefully this was just a fluke, and the employees were having an off day. Place is very cute, fits right in with downtown Bridgeport. Food on the other hand wasn’t great. My table ordered an appetizer of fried pickles and mozzarella sticks. I love fried pickles like every Texan and get them any chance I can but I wouldn’t recommend them at this restaurant. They were cut very thin, had little puddles of grease sitting on multiple ones and grease puddled at the bottom of the basket, as well as the batter was barely on or falling off. The mozzarella sticks were better, mainly just a thick cut of cheese with little breading. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with Mac n cheese and the two other members of my party ordered chicken fried steak with onion rings and fries. It only took a few bites to realize how greasy everything was. For all our meals every bite we took grease would drip out of our mouths and that’s all you could taste. No exaggeration. Mac N cheese was very good though! Im sure they have other good things on the menu but this was our experience today! The staff looked very young and our waitress seemed to be the only adult. When we were trying to tell her our concerns politely she was actually the one who was rude. Had an attitude and simply wasn’t kind when we were trying to make...
