We visited for the first time following an 11 a.m. hour long yoga class at a room here.Following, we proceeded to the tap room (2nd Fl) for some food and beers. This place is huge and all rooms are spacious with high ceilings, brick, and exposed rafters and piping, reminisent of an old factory. We had been told previous to our visit, that there was brunch. However, later were told that final menu changes just went into effect and bruch was no longer an option ( website menu does not seem to list all menu changes for newest menu) We ordered the Ocean State Lager, Tors Pasnan, a mocktail, a new menu item (sourdough toast with a lemon ricotta spread, seeds, squash and pomegranate arils) a smash burger and a brisket mac daddy, both with fries. We all enjoyed our dishes and drinks. Service was friendly and attentive. They do have a few game tables (pool, foosball, and shuttleboard) but they were missing sticks for the pool table--only short sticks were available which we used and had a great time. Foosball was not working. They did have a few t.v.s in the room showing sports, but not so many that it was overwhelming if that is not your focus. Seems like a place with a great deal of potential and growth opportunities, so hoping it continues to do well. The restroom was large and very clean but it is outside of the taproom andthere are no signs, so at first difficult to find. They are open Thursday -Sunday, opening at noon on Sundays. There is plenty of free parking directly across the street from the...
Read moreAs a former Bridgeport resident I was pleasantly surprised to hear a brewery had opened on the East Side of Bridgeport. Those familiar with 90’s Bridgeport would know this is quite an accomplishment.
Upon arrival the repurposing of the factory space is jaw dropping and the designer deserves much credit. But this is quickly marred by the unfriendly welcome. The bar tenders are a hit or miss. Some seem to be great but one in particular seems uninterested in helping and came off rather cocky. Unfortunately we got this person for our first experience. As we tried to understand the beer and food options he stared at us with a smirk. And the responses were border line sarcastic. When we requested napkins he said “he didn’t have them” and I had to go to another bartender to get them. When we stated that we would be sitting on the sofas and not the bar or restaurant his reponse was pretty much “why?”
The IPA was almost undrinkable.
Recommendation- go for the aesthetics but don’t stay for the experience.
This is a gentrified hell hole with a poor product that is stuffy and aloof in a mostly working class neighborhood.
If they don’t get the poor service under control soon it will fail. And if so, they should turn it...
Read moreI was in town for the weekend visiting family and decided to do something different. Came across this little gem just 3 min from where I was staying decided to take the leap and adventure into the unknown and man, I'm so glad we did. The building is stunning the cars breathtaking, the vibe just right, the atmosphere inviting and welcoming. When we got in we were greeted by Leila with her big smile and bubbly personally it was just the warm welcome that bridgeport needs :) then our server ema just as lovely took our drinks and food order and was just as excited as we were to be there... but we were there for the comedy show so we decided to request for our food to be delivered to the event and Ema went to Spencer who were both more the accommodating and I'm so glad they were... the food was so delicious the mac and cheese was a hit, I personally had the mussel pot, and the flavor was absolutely WORTH IT!!! Anyway, if you're in town driving by or you're a local, this is the spot...
