B.Side by Blackjacks — Restaurant in Bridgeport

Ok, let's do it. If I could have given them no stars, I would have. We get there about 3:00 in the afternoon and no one. I mean, no one is there except for this one guy eating at the bar. We ordered nothing crazy my cousin wanted wings and fries, and I wanted wings and shrimp, no fries. The waitress was cool and attentive when we first arrived. Two other people came in while we were there one was a pick up and the other lady sat down ordered her food and she was served a full plate of hot fish and all the sides they had available within 15minutes. Mean while two hungry ladies that have been sitting at the bar never received another word from the waitress/bartender about the status of our food. After 35 minutes, I told my cousin that if I came back from the bathroom and the food was not here, then we were leaving. Low and behold, there was no food there, and we left. Customer Service speaks volumes, and there was none. I really heard great things about the food, so I wanted to check it out. I guess I will never no. I always try to support local and black owned businesses, and it just doesn't seem to work out for...

Ambiance: B.Side is a great addition to Bridgeport’s dining experience. It’s lively with an up-to-date vibe that’s hard to find around here. The DJs play a great mix of music. The decor is hip hop inspired which I love because you get some great photo ops!

Food: The wings are really, really good! I also had the steak & cheese fries which were great but were missing their signature sauce which is my favorite part 😂. It was busy so it took a while to get fixed which leads me to the staff & service: The staff is fun, warm and laid back so it feels very inviting! A bit more sense urgency on behalf of the servers would be great but again, it was a bit busy so that probably accounted for some of the wait time.

The only other suggestion I have is serving the margaritas in a margarita glass so that I can take my cute pics for social media 😂! Other than that I really enjoy it, I’ve been for brunch and dinner so far and definitely plan on going back very soon!...

I so wanted to rate this place over 4 stars. The wings made me rate this place overall from zero to 2 stars. They were top notch and made traveling an hr to the establishment in the rain-better...any who arrived and no one to greet you at door or tell you you where to sit. I believe they were short staffed and someone's mother was helping out. She tried but you could tell that she was annoyed. It took us moving to the bar area to get noticed and served. Had a signature drink. I'm not a drinker but it was pure alcohol. I wasn't able to drink anymore after my one sip because I didn't want to potentially get a dui smh anywho I saw this establishment on an Instagram reel and was exciting to try out but it reeked of all types of smoke...i do not do Ghetto and that was the vibe...music sucked.
