Just called to see if they had catering available. We go into this place often for lunch since there aren't that many places around where we work. Typically the food is pretty good.
Today the bad rating comes on customer service. I have a new team that I just hired on. 20 people to feed I called to see if they catered and to see what options they had. Rafael the owner immediately had attitude. He told me he doesn't know what I want and that I have to come in to get it set up. That he has over 40 plates. Now I don't expect a complete run down. However I did expect a little background on how it would work. Maybe just yeah I can cater tacos, or burritos, or whatever. Hated his attitude. RUDE! I asked the cashier if they made their beans with LARD and she said YES. So I opted for a burrito with whole beans and cheese. She said “plain“ and I said yes.
After a long wait, I received a container of whole beans and cheese. I immediately told the cashier that there was a mistake and that I had ordered a burrito. To which she rudely said: you said plain! I said yes, a plain bean and cheese burrito.
At this point, I asked for a refund, but she disappeared for a couple minutes and returned with a burrito and said: THERE!
No thank you, please just give me a refund! By the way just for an order of BEANS with CHEESE and a few chips & salsa...

I live in Europe. One day I messaged my friend in Japan: "Hi, surprise. I am in Redwood City". The reply was "Oh, surprise, I lived in Redwood years ago too." and we had some good LOLs. Then he said "We used to go in the evenings to Melissas Taqueria in Brisbane. Great food, you have to try it. Go there and say 'Hello' to owners". So I did. And that's how by sequence of intercontinental coincidences my family and I ended with the amazing Mexican feast. Food was indeed great and I really, really hope to visit this...
