If youâre black, donât go here if you have a Caucasian friend, thatâs trying to bring you here Theyâre setting you up for failure.đ I was here last night and it was the worst experience .Iâve been going to Murphyâs on and off for years cause the food is good but after last night, I will no longer be returning and this is why., as I proceed into the bar with a friend, who is Caucasian, I instantly saw a customer or Iâm gonna assume a regular dart out the door and come right back in with the Jamaican wig on and begin to use a Jamaican accent now me being who I am, I ignored the BS because I was born and raised in this racist town but it got to the point where now I can hear him talking to all his other buddies about me and my friend, the guy go as far as to even call the guy Iâm with a sugar daddy. He even proceeds to call me a sugar baby after telling him about his self and let him know I donât need anyone to take care of me or provide anything for me because I have a job He still proceeds to be ignorant and He still proceeds to use a Jamaican accent and for me personally I just canât deal with that type of energy and that type of cruelty. I was able to only stay for one drink, which I downed in less than five minutes. I just wanna make it aware that it is 2025 and even before 2025 going into the spaces still makes me cringe because the way that people act but when they come into our spaces, we welcome you guys with open arms and no problems. Murphyâs yâall need to get it together get your clientele under control because at the end of the day there was no need for his comments and his remarks oh, and letâs keep in mind two days before another guy who is being harassed by another person, sat there and commented with the guy like, sir werenât you just being racially profile two days ago smh đ¤Śđžââď¸ just donât go here if you Black find a bettter spot Edgeley inn welcomes everybody go there itâs a...
Read moreI hate to say âdive barâ because I feel like some will not understand that I mean this in a genuine way..basically itâs not your âuppity/uptightâ bar where you may feel out of place if not dressed up..this is more so your local Irish pub that you feel comfortable stopping at after work, wearing jeans & a sweatshirt & wont feel judged. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is fun & welcoming..they have booths, tables, hi tops & you can sit at the bar if you can find a spot since each time Iâve gone, they seem to stay busy. We have been there on nights with live music, nights where the games play on a bunch of TVâs throughout the bar & nights that were more low key..and each of these times have always been a...
Read moreWhere to start? Very Limited Menu; what is there is not great, (OVERPRICED & skimpy). Very good felt on tables unfortunately neither are level, sticks are in good shape. More than enough decently lit parking. Smoking allowed, several scrubbers on the ceiling not "Smokey". Bar top is crowded nearly no other seating available. Bartenders have great attitudes, I would say phenomenal, seem to be shorthanded on popular nights. Unclean-cheerless-dingy-dungeonesque bathrooms. Great shuffleboard table. Patrons don't look or act like heroin addicts, nice mix of cultures. The DJ music was exceptionally God awful loud, it ruined my...
