Destiny's Diner — Restaurant in Bristol

1st time here & they have been her for years! I don't know why we've never tried them before, we've been missing out! A friend recommended them for good food at GREAT prices. So, we had to come in.

Ordered very light today as it was late morning & we weren't very hungry. Hubby had corned beef hash & bacon and I just wanted a muffin today that they bake here. She said they had corn & BB today, so I ordered a BB grilled with decaf. She brought our drinks immediately & let me know they also had a special muffin today, a hazelnut, granola & strawberries? Very unique & VERY GOOD!! Our waitress was fantastic too! She is the Mom/ wife of the place. Right on top of things and super friendly!! Have not had such a good friendly waitress in a long time. I had ordered from Doordash from the first time and the driver took well over 1.5 hours to get to Destinys. I call Destinys and ask them what I should do because I had never used the app. I expressed that I completely understood that this long wait was NOT Destinys fault, i just needed advice. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and being super defensive. She was angry because the food was sitting there for hours and that they had already closed (as if that was my fault). We were visiting relatives in Bristol RI, and decided to stop for breakfast on the way home. Destiny's Diner was the first search result, the menu looked good so we stopped in. What we found was great, friendly service, excellent food, and a laid back atmosphere. I was delighted to see Portuguese items on the menu such as linguica, Portuguese rolls, and sweet bread. When we return, we know where to get breakfast.
