It had been a few years since I last visited this establishment (March 2020), so I decided to stop by one evening after work for an Italian sub (#3) to remind myself why gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins. I waited in line for about 15 minutes before receiving my sandwich, an 8" italian (ham, capicola, salami and cheese). I expected the sandwich to cost $8.99 (as it said on the menu board) plus tax, but the owner told me it would cost $11.95. I asked why the sandwich wasn't $8.99 plus tax, and he mumbled something about COVID and higher costs (which is understandable and expected for many establishments these days), but I paid for it as it was still a good value to me. What rubbed me the wrong way is that there was no way for me to know if he had arbitrarily requested that price from me while stating the listed price with others (friends, associates, etc.). To the owner: It comes off as a bait-n-switch to the customer if you have a listed price and request a higher price after the customer has waited and the sandwich has already been made. If the price truly needs to go up, just correct the prices on the markerboard to reflect the higher production costs and own it! (Hand-sanitizer will remove the permanent marker from the whiteboard). It makes you look deceptive to go about it in the manner that you did and I would like to think that that's not how you operate. Be transparent. If the customer really wants the product, they won't be scared off by the slightly higher price (ex. Chick-fil-A). For what it's worth, the sandwich was filling and I still couldn't finish the entire thing in...

Since the move we have eaten there 4 times. We ordered subs, pizza, garlic knots with pepperoni and a calzone. The large calzone is basically 2 large pizza crusts stuffed with delicious goodness. It feed 3 people twice! You have to go check out the new location and all the new menu items!
We had heard a lot of great things about this sandwich shop. So, we stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. Apparently everyone else had heard the same great things - the line was long(maybe 10-11 people). The food that was being served was amazing looking, so we stood in line. Standing in that line I got to watch an artist at work. The owner makes all the sandwiches himself, slicing the meat fresh for each sandwich. He is also an entertainer - keeping everyone in line and those already eating laughing. We ordered the roast beef, turkey, bacon and cheese. It is an awesome sandwich! The large sandwich is approx 18 inches long and has a huge amount of meat on it. To go with our sandwich we got bbq pork rinds and 2 pieces of cheesecake. Everything that we tried was delicious! We have eaten at delis in many places (Chicago, DC, Miami, Kansas City & Vegas are a few). This deli has many of them beat - hands down. I have a feeling that Phat Daddy’s is going to be a staple in our weekends for a long time! Give them a try- you...
Read moreSo overall we had a fine experience and may even come back, but this isn’t a place I’d go out of my way to eat at.
The Atmosphere is fine, very clean and tidy. They do have a lot of those novelty street signs that can make the place seem very busy on the eyes. They do have outdoor seating which is nice.
Service was adequate, the guy behind the counter was nice enough and asked if different people were new to the place so he could explain the portion sizes to them. We did end up waiting almost 35min from walking in, to getting our food and most of that was just waiting in line. Only the one guy behind the counter slicing meant, constructing sandwiches, and taking payments. Made it kind of a slow process, they could definitely benefit from some help.
Food was good, my buddy got a Ham and turkey, and I got a meatball. The potions are huge on the subs but that about all it had going for them, meat could have been subway to be honest, couldn’t really tell a difference in quality, bread was better than your average spot so that was nice. Meatball sub was kinda average, not bad but not amazing either.
Overall it’s a fine place to stop by, but I wouldn’t go out of my way. Biggest thing going for them is portion to price ratio, but...
