This place could've easily been a 5 starđ restaurant, because the food is quite good. Unfortunately, the services is beyond terrible! Sadly, if this is your first encounter with a Haitian restaurant, it will give you a terrible impression of all Haitian restaurants, thus, giving them all a "bad name"!
Front counter guys are super rude and argumentative. Not to mention uninterested in whether you called ahead of time or how long you've been waiting to even be acknowledge. They stand around in the kitchen talking to one another all the while glancing through the door at you as if you're not standing there waiting to be served.
Waitresses are ridiculously lackadaisical; and don't you dare ask for anything extra, like ketchup...If looks could kill!
The staff could care less about customer satisfaction, just pay for your food, don't utter a word of complaint, and leave. Take it or leave it. The sad thing is, it has been this way for years, people return for the food and put up with the service because that's just the "way it is". In essence, there is no need to make any changes, the money keeps rolling in, no matter how terrible they treat their customers.
All things considered Jeanos needs a complete overhaul on customer service. As for me, I'll gladly give my hard earned money to another establishment who will treat me like a human being as opposed to a quick $20 check...
Read moreThe food is fine and flavorful, and I can't help but appreciate the work they do in Haiti (they have a picture of the school they sponsor on the front counter), but it's nowhere good enough to justify the absolutely abysmal customer service. Be prepared to listen to people in the lobby getting increasingly angry as they come to terms with the mistake they made of ordering from this place.
My favorite story was when my wife and I, at the beginning of an hour+ road trip back from Rhode Island, jokingly decided that we should call ahead to place our order because we knew the wait times were so horrible. No joke, we still had to wait 45 minutes when we got to the restaurant. That's nearly 2 hours for these people to make some rice and beans.
Another time I was waiting for about an hour in the lobby to get my food and when it finally came both the employee and I forgot that I had to pay, so I left. When I got home and realized this, I called and told the lady who answered that I'd be by shortly to correct that. She said "I'm waiting" and hung up the phone lol.
These people are only in business because Brockton is an absolute wasteland for decent food. If there was any competition they would have gone out of business a...
Read moreI called to place an order aroound 12pm mind you it says online Jeano's open at 12pm . When they finally answer the phone, the owner of the restaurant stated the restaurant is open and I should call back in half an hour. Remember I said before it says online they open at 12pm. At 12:30p I call back as instructed. The owner answered with a very agitated tone. I ignored and proceed to ask him what do you have ready on the menu( disclamer, Haitien restaurant always run out of food or the food listed on the menu is never ready to order). Of course, he told me to go online to see what's on the menu. I told him I just want to order. He proceeded to yell at me and told me listen, i'm not in the mood for this and hung up the phone and this is not my first experience with this owner It sadden me, the way some haitien busines owners run their establishment. I LOVE my culture but they have poor customers service. Jeano lack respect and class. The response I received from Mr. Jeano was uncalled for and disturbing as a customer. Mr. Jeano's the person who raise you with that lovely attitude bravo to them. I feel sorry for you and those around you. Your energy is one that is toxic and to think I only experience...
