Yummy Subs & More — Restaurant in Broken Arrow

My husband and I have been here a few times now and the food is always great! Yesterday we visited again and had one of the best restaurant experiences. First, the food. I got the chicken salad on croissant and he tried the Chicken Spiedie. The food was incredible! The chicken on both of our sandwiches had so much flavor! My husband said the Chicken Spiedie is his new favorite sandwich. The flavors on that sandwich are just incredible! The chicken salad was so creamy, with the perfect amount of crunch. Possibly the best chicken salad I have had in town! Now to the service. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who was super helpful and gave us great food recommendations. He even shared stories of how the Chicken Spiedie was made and how it is his favorite as well! He also brought us our food with enthusiasm and couldn't wait to hear what we thought of our food. As we were leaving, another team member was super friendly, asked if we enjoyed our food, thanked us, and wished us well! Finally, cleanliness! I was honestly super impressed that the tables and the fountain drink area were very clean. For a counter service place, you generally see a lot of messy tables, but you could practically eat off the surfaces. I can't say enough positive things about this place! It had such a friendly, small town feel to the place that I didn't want to leave! This is now going to be a restaurant we visit frequently! I cannot recommend this...

Food was surprisingly good, but that is not enough to save this restaurant sadly. First we were the only people in the restaurant. All the tables were incredibly sticky. The cashier couldn’t answer basic questions about the menu. And then wasnt even able to give us a total. We had to wait for someone else to actually ring us up. It was very strange. We ordered a side and they just said it will be in the fridge and pointed. We went over there and could not find the side we had ordered. We looked and we couldn’t really identify much of it because they were in these small black cups. We said we couldn’t find it and the guy rolls his eyes and cone over and looks for a second and says “I guess we don’t have that right now. Do you want fries instead?” We agreed and the he said it will be $2 for the switch. I about walked out when he made us pay for a switch he recommended. I just went along tho and paid, a mistake I truly regret. To top it off, the computer asks if you want to leave a tip once we paid for the food and switch. Then about 15 minutes after we ordered I hear a couple trays hit the counter and all the guy says is good and then hides. We were the only people in the restaurant so I don’t understand why they could just bring us the food, but I that was minor compared to the sides scandal. I don't usually write reviews. I an extremely picky eater and I travel for work. I go to Pat's in Philly quite a bit. This place however is 5 stars all around. The owner Haddy was working at the window. I got there right before they closed and ordered stuff off the grill and they were fine about it. Had a great chat with the owner, they get their bread from the east coast. The lady making my Philly sub had worked at Texas Roadhouse and she was in charge of making sure the cuts of meat are good. You can tell these guys really care about the quality of what they are serving... but the proof is in the pudding right? Again, 5 stars. The quality of the streak was far beyond what I have had at other local places for a higher price. Very little grease. The steak sub came with sliced cheese and Wiz which a lot of places charge extra for. I got two large sandwiches, a bag of chips and 1 drink and it was 26 something out the door, although he threw in my drink and a cookie for free. Please go visit this place!
