I was surprised to learn that a Latino family restaurant opened in Brookfield. We heard it was always busy and had a big menu, featuring a Sunday & Thursday buffet. We found it with no problem. The parking was tricky because of a messy parking lot. If you aren't careful, you could damage a car. We were immediately seated. Wait staff delivered menues and took drinks orders. The menu is big but there is a lot of redundancy and overlap. We settled on fish taco and a combination plate of tacos, an enchilada and some kind of meat/sauce on a tortilla. I did not care for the food. I'm not going to go into painful detail. I'll just say it was not flavorful or savory. I didn't think Latin food could be tastelessly bland but my meal was. The fish tacos were a little better but still missed the mark. Portions were large for what that is worth. Price was average for a family restaurant. But the taste was not to my liking. I won't be going back.

Ok where to start.... Food= portions very nice they do not mess around. Taste profile is one that makes you long for another bite. Smell is very appealing from the moment you walk in. Service= very polite and professional. Key factor here is they pay attention without hovering. Doesn't matter the age or look of people coming in everyone got treated equally and wonderful. Atmosphere= clean, open, well lit, peaceful. Added bonus on Wednesday and Sundays 11-830 they have a wonderful buffet.

I passed this restaurant so often and didn't try it until Saturday, February 16, 2024, and let me tell you that I'm so happy that I did. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. The staff were so pleasant and the food choices were plentiful. I will be returning and will get more photos than just the chips and salsa (which were delicious by the way). I did have the burritos Supreme and they were so good.

My partner and I make it a point to try any Mexican restaurant we come across, if we can. This one was recommended to us multiple times since they’ve opened.

I can say, without a doubt, I won’t be returning unless it’s the only option.

Nothing really tasted authentic, and I’ve eaten Mexican all over the south west. The chips were obviously from a bag, not even warm. The Queso tasted exactly like what you can buy in a jar from the store, and the salsa was wildly lack luster (also tasted like a can)

Right there I was reluctant to order.

So I ordered 2 chicken and chorizo soft tacos, with lettuce, cheese and sour cream. My one taco had, and I kid you not, exactly 8 tiny slivers of shredded lettuce only on the edge 😅, and both were lacking in cheese and sour cream. Whatever, it happens. Then I took my first bite, chicken bones. I take my second bite, chicken bones. The chicken was lacking a lot of flavor. And there was something sincerely wrong with the chorizo. It seemed more like horribly horribly over cooked ground beef with some chorizo flavor. It didn’t even have the same taste or texture as sausage. Super odd.

Prices were decent. Service was fast. Serving size was solid. I’d say the “atmosphere” was normal. But the chairs made me feel unsafe lol that chair had seen better days. Servers seemed disinterested and confused. A different server came up and asked for our order. They also don’t have a liquor license, so if you’re expecting to have a cold margarita with your meal, you won’t find it here. But that’s subjective.

After paying our tab, and returning to our vehicle, my stomach immediately started to turn sour. Upset stomach and nausea for the entire day afterwards.

Over all, I personally won’t be returning and again, there are other options in the area that are exceptionally better options. If you don’t like authentic flavor, if you like generic, bland, processed tasting Mexican cuisine, this might be the place for you.

I’d put the food one step above Taco Bell, and one step below Chipotle 😅 and I don’t even like Chipotle.

Final...

I came here due to a facebook post in support of a local business needing more customers. I wanted to love this place but I’m left feeling disappointed. I opted for the buffet that I seen posted on facebook many times and though I understand the thought process of having a buffet in this case it just doesn’t deliver. If you want people to know how great the food is then a buffet is not the way to go. I started with a taco salad shell and built a mediocre taco salad. The vegetarian options were minimal to say the least. I was excited to get the street corn but sadly it was sitting there too long to be remotely good. When I took a bite of the taco salad shell it tasted as though it was made a couple days ago and they were hoping to sell it before throwing it out like they should have. I tried the cheese quesadilla but again it had sat out too long and was cold and sad. I went back a second time to try a soft taco but it wasn’t much better. I did watch staff come out with plate fulls of food and just dump it into the old pans that were already sitting out. I’d like to come back a try something from the menu to see if the food that is made to order is any better but I honestly don’t see that happening any time soon. I really did want to...
