I am writing a review to formally express my disappointment and concern following an experience I had at your food truck during my visit to Aquilas Vineyard on 5/18/2025.
After placing an order and providing my phone number, I received a text notifying me that my food was ready. I arrived at the truck approximately five minutes later and stated my name. The cashier remarked, “Yeah, we were waiting for you,” to which I politely responded that I had to walk from my seating area. She then asked you whether the order had already been picked up, and you responded that “a guy just came and got it.” When I clarified that I am a woman, showed the text confirmation, and stated that I had not received the food, the response I received was not an apology or an attempt to rectify the situation.
Instead, I witnessed you express frustration, shrug off the issue, and storm off the truck, slamming the door. I was left standing there — not only without my order but without any acknowledgment or courtesy. I remained calm and respectful throughout, and ultimately requested a refund, which the cashier kindly issued. When you returned and were informed of the refund, your visible irritation was noted, yet still no apology was offered.
Beyond the poor customer service, what left the deepest impact on me was the tone of the interaction — dismissive and emotionally charged in a way that felt deeply personal. I cannot ignore the feeling that my race played a role in how I was treated. This is not an accusation made lightly. The overall behavior — including the long, silent stare from your wife as I left — made me feel judged, unwelcome, and ultimately discriminated against.
I expected a simple, friendly food experience and was met with hostility and humiliation. As a customer, and as a human being, I deserved better. Respect, fairness, and decency should be a given — especially when a business relies on community support and public goodwill which I seen with previous patrons as I was waiting in line to place my order.
I hope you will take this review seriously, not as an attack, but as an opportunity for reflection and change. No one should walk away from your truck feeling the way I did — disrespected, dismissed, and...
Read moreA miserable experience overall. We visited at 1/1:30pm on Sunday 6/12 for lunch. First, we were told that they were all out of fries. When our food arrived, one of the “chicken fingers” (they’re not fingers, which was disappointing for the kids) baskets was over cooked and had visible hair within the breading of the chicken. The other basket was also completely over cooked, the chicken was dry and several of the tater tots were essentially just the outer fry (the inside had been vaporized).
We waited a total of about 40-45 minutes for those two to be replaced for two very hungry, cranky kids. When they did arrive, they had decided to cook them a different way, and the tots were again so far over cooked as compared to the batch our third child received with his burger (his meal was good), they were inedible. They both went completely uneaten, and we prepared to leave with two crying kids.
When we mentioned it to the wait staff, they were prompt in addressing, though not apologetic (one server actually laughed). We spent about 90 minutes in total at the place, and had to drive to a pizzeria down the street for two slices so the kids didn’t go hungry on an afternoon of errands.
Very disappointing as we had heard such good things. We definitely won’t be back on a Sunday (benefit of the doubt, maybe just an off day?), but with several other great kid-friendly places in the area, it’s unlikely we’ll head...
Read moreEdit for owners response: I have absolutely nothing to gain by exposing this place for the disgusting dump that it is. The only thing trash about this review is the food and kitchen.
I decided to help out the owner with staffing issues earlier this summer, he had posted in a local facebook group about needing help with labor since he was being forced to close early due to staffing issues. Since I lived 5 mins away and had experience in the industry, I decided to help out temporarily until he could find someone more permanent. I have worked in the service industry for over 15 years and have never seen something like this in the kitchen, especially with the OWNER working the back of house daily. Raw chicken was being stored in lowes buckets on the DIRTY floor after being flash fried for 8 mins in the fryer. I watched both the OWNER and his girlfriend EAT FROM CUSTOMERS PLATES BARE HANDED. I made a comment about coronavirus and was brushed off. After having fingers in his mouth eating the food I never saw him wash his hands. I was shocked since there were nothing but rave reviews on facebook and google. I told him I could no longer help after my week was done and he would need to find other help and also made a complaint to the health department. I've finally decided to say something since I see my neighbors and friends dining there, I would want to know if...
