HIDDEN GEM! I have heard only good things about the Brooklyn Market. I happened to be going by on a Saturday around lunch time. I popped in and was greeted by a friendly gentleman named Tim. I told him “I heard you got the best grinders in town”, he said “we sure do, and the best grinder maker Charlene is making them today”. Wow: we cannot remember the last time we had grinder this good. The Genoa was thinly sliced with plenty of it, the provolone had a nice smoky flavor, I could actually tell what I was eating. Fresh shred cabbage and all the fixings made for a wonderful treat for us. The meat/deli counter looks amazing, I bought a pound of the ground steak. I took a little chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken home to try. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. There are all kinds of potato salads, pasta salads, and anti-pasta salads as well. I may NEVER have to cook again, or maybe just a little. The meatballs looked good, saving those to try next time. Thank You Brooklyn Market for being there for us, I am not sure why I waited so long to stop in. Do yourself a favor and give them a try, you will be glad you did. Oh, and the pastries; can’t wait to dive into those, I got a cinnamon roll, a piece of raspberry crumb cake and a piece of baklava! This is the kind of local business that I am delighted to support. Fair prices, friendly amazing people working there, and most important premium food, blows the supermarket away and every other grinder/sandwich/deli shop too. A customer came in for a steak, he told me Brooklyn Market is the only place he will buy his steak from. The home-made food in the case looks fresh, I am simply amazed. I was very disappointed in my order. I was craving an Italian Combo and Brooklyn Market came highly recommended. I ordered it with extra onions and received no onions instead. To me, the onions make the sandwich, it was not worth eating it without onions. mistakes happen, so I called the store and explained that my order was wrong and that I would not eat the sandwich that way. They girl who answered said, "well I don't know where the owner went so, I don't know." no resolutions, basically just, too bad you didn't get what you ordered. I am newer to the area so still trying out the local places. I was disappointed to get a sandwich that I threw out the first time I tried Brooklyn Market. Bought 2 sodas $1.39 each and I was charged $4.23 don't add up the total would equal $2.78 + 0.17 cents for tax and they have a fee if you use any type of card to pay and that's .50 cents so everything should of came up to $3.45 I went there and the owner said there is only a 60 cent difference so no big deal it's 78 cent difference I know it's only a little bit of change but I'm not giving anyone my money for nothing and now and days you half to pinch every penny so I won't be going there anymore if I can give them 0 stars I would so if you go to this store make sure you do the math first with your phone cuz this just happened to me yesterday and I know other ppl this has...
