I live and work in East Glacier during the summer as a Red Bus Tour driver/guide. On my all-day tours, I hype this final stop of the day, and my guests are never disappointed we stopped!🙌 This is the newest/second location of the iconic Polebridge Mercantile, with their infamous huckleberry bearclaws! Also try the chocolate cherry bearclaws, and my personal fave, the huckleberry danish! Since I stop here literally everyday, I have tried just about everything they make, including the HUGE stuffed breakfast sandwiches, fried chicken, Mac n cheese, sides and their various "rollies" as well. Nothing bad here! I've also purchased lip balms and lotions, a shirt and earrings, and a ceramic mug. At the end of the season, I purchased dozens of bearclaws to freeze and get me through a long, Glacier-less winter (and months later, yes they freeze well and are still delicious!) I tell everyone this is a MUST-STOP on the east side of your Glacier...

What a gem of a place! We came at a slightly awkward time between breakfast and lunch looking to pick up a picnic lunch before our boat ride at Two Medicine Lake, and some food for a long day of hiking the next day. We hit the jackpot! We bought a huckleberry bear claw and sticky bun for breakfast the next day, a hot breakfast sandwich with veggie sausage/egg/cheese that we devoured immediately out on the patio, a savory "pizza rollie" pastry for lunch the next day, a cold pastrami/cheese/pickle sandwich for our picnic, and a side of potato salad. Everything was delicious. The breakfast sandwich, pizza rollie, and potato salad were my personal favorites. There was a selection of cold sandwiches in the cooler, and the hot sandwiches and sides apparently get stocked ~11:30 am (we were too early for that). Clean restrooms available for customers as well. Don't miss Kyiyo Mercantile if you're in the Two Medicine...

The shop just opened today May 10. We stopped by on the way to Looking Glass Road and they place was a pleasant surprise. They have their huckleberry bear claws within n other types of desserts but this bear claws were absolutely delicious and not overly sweet. The mix of their dough, cream cheese and local huckleberries made this a delight perfect with coffee. The also sell Glacier Park merchandise, stickers, tea, sandwiches hot and cold, ice, you name it they have it. They also have two adorable doggies that will receive you at the entrance and make you smile they were so calm and just lovely. Overall a great experience and their service was top notch. Come and give them your business you will be glad and full that you did.

Perfect pit stop for some food and souvenirs when you’re visiting Glacier. Charming store with friendly staff. The prices seem pretty standard. I wasn’t expecting the huckleberry danish to be so good (must try if you have a sweet tooth!) or the fried chicken to be FANTASTIC. It came quickly and warmed us up. Honestly the best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time. Flaky country fried outer crust with juicy tender meat. Seasoned well! There’s a small table outside, plenty of parking in the gravel out front, and a surprisingly nice/clean bathroom on the side of the building. Definitely swing by for a quick lunch.
