Disappointing. My $14 hamburger was dry and burnt. Our French fries were over fried and tasted like they sat under a heat lamp a half hour before. My niece's chicken sandwich was burnt so bad, she could snap pieces off the chicken rather than cutting it. We were comped for the sandwich. I watched the host be rude to a table who had been waiting for a long time for there order to be taken. The young foreign tourist politely said they were ready for their orders to be taken and the host replied "I'm not your server. I can't take your order." And he just kept on going. Didn't say, "I'll let you server know." No apologies. Just kept going. Oh, and the same guy dropped the f-bomb setting up a table for 9, but that party was sketchy and said they wanted a table for 4 & 5. Anyways, those polite foreign tourist sat there for another 5 minutes and flagged down another server. She hollered at some guy named Juan that his table was ready to order. And Juan was like 10 feet away. Like he was right there.

We saw a server crying. We heard some kind of ruckus from the kitchen. It was a hot mess.

I wish I had followed my instincts as we were waiting for a table to not eat there. I wish I had driven the little ways to St. Mary's or heck, even to Two Medicine grill in East Glacier. But my sibling wanted to give them the benefit of doubt. Huge mistake.

It was close to lunch service closing time. But does that excuse burnt inedible food? Why did they seat us and the customers after us if the staff was so over it?

The thing is Park food service is usually good. I've been to many National Parks and eaten in the restaurants or grills. I've never had such a bad service & bad food in such...

The view is amazing. If not for that the rating would be lower. The food was average at best. We were there for the dinner time. I had the trout with rice pilaf, side salad and supposedly a corn muffin but it was not plated. My wife had the big baked potato with brisket. My trout was dry and very small, at best maybe 8" by 3" and thin. The rice was very good. The side salad was as plain jane as it could be almost nothing other than iceberg lettuce. So "salad" is a stretch. And no crackers. I can't say I've ever had side salad not come with some type or crackers, you know, the little Keebler butter crackers or something like it. I already mentioned that the corn muffin didn't come so pretty sub par meal for $28. My wife's baked potato, the potato was good, the toppings side from the brisket were good. The brisket pieces, which is a stretch, there were some but they were fatty and tiny, all said maybe 6 quarter inch pieces. The vegetable medley was a typical frozen blend that was steamed and no seasoning, so it was bland. She was also to get a corn muffin and did not. Had to ask the waitress for it. She blamed the kitchen saying they were to check plates before they go out. That may be true but she is the waitress and should have checked with us when the food came out to see that everything was as expected but she did not. Service was non-attentive. As mentioned the view was great and I will say that the Huckleberry Lemonade was very good. Overall for the cost I would say this is a pass. Can't really...

No air conditioning, felt like we were being hot boxed which is not pleasant after hiking 14 miles. Was cooler outside then in the building at 7pm if that says anything. More housefly’s flying around then I’d seen the whole trip. Couldn’t enjoy the food even if it was good because the flies wanted to land on it constantly. The fries came out ice cold. They gave us new ones for us to share that were hot but rock hard. Both the ice cold and hot fries tasted like Wendy’s fries that have been sitting out for a week at the bottom of a bag, stale and gross. Burger had big chunks of salt on the outside from where it was rolled around in salt then put on the bun. Interesting. I’ve never left a restaurant review in my life but it’s just a little mind blowing to me that a place that’s been in business for years I’m assuming can’t even do French fries right, have fans or a little air conditioning going, do anything to solve the fly issue, but charges fancy restaurant prices. Was so excited to see a restaurant inside the park but next time will drive outside the park and back just to get a...

A rewarding lunch after a long day of hiking. The fact that there is this place in the park serving hot food should be appreciated. The prices are reasonable and the food is good (nothing crazy but decent). Our server was very friendly. After ordering she let us know that they were out of their soup and we ended up ordering pulled pork sandwich instead. We also got a burger and cod nuggets. The cod was crispy, but I wish it was served with a tartar sauce. The burger was also good. We did absolutely love their fries, baked beans, and huckleberry pork sandwich. Great dining hall and fantastic draft beer selection too!

We stopped in last week on our way back to West Gate. It was about 700 pm and right after we were sat there was a dinner rush and the wait was an hour. Timing is everything. Wife had the trout which was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Daughter (vegetarian) got the BBQ tofu and really enjoyed her dinner and the corn muffins are sweet and tasty. I had the pulled pork with huckleberry sauce on the baked potato. Lots of pulled pork! All the food came out fresh, fast and hot! Server was nice and polite.

Had a great meal with our large group after a long day of hiking! We went at about 4:50pm and were able to be seated at 5pm - there was about 20ish people in front of us. I ordered the giant baked potato and loved it! The huckleberry pork is the way to go. We also had cod bites and they were delicious! Sandra was our server and was so good - great service! Loved the huckleberry ice cream and huckleberry cheesecake! Also - SOOOO cheap for being this remote.
