Never again! I have been a regular of Champion's for years. I've even supported them through the closure by purchasing gift cards and carry out. Tonight, I ordered carry out. The girl who took my order seemed new so I called back to talk to someone else. My order was indeed wrong but they assured me that they had fixed it. I get there and nothing was correct. They took most my order back to recook leaving behind the one thing that was correct leaving it to get cold while I waited for the rest of the order to be remade. I had to ask them to remake that as well so it wouldn't be ice cold when getting home. 20 minutes later, while waiting at the restaurant, my food came back out. I quickly looked at it, looked correct, and headed home as this whole mess was aggravating. I get all the way home to find that the feta spread side and lettuce was missing from my Champion's Chicken Sandwich. That spread is the only reason I order that sandwich. In addition, my fries were not well done. I called back up there to speak to the manager. Well the manager refused to come to the phone. The server on the phone tried stating they were slammed yet I just left there 10 minutes prior and they were fall from slammed as there wasn't even a wait. This is the second time I've ran into an issue where the manager won't address it and take care of his customers. We will not be back and will also encourage others not to visit either. Please be aware of the automatic gratuity that the servers try to slide past you when handing you your bill!
Don't let them double dip by leaving cash afterwards.
To the owner: This is a shady practice, and even though I had a decent time, I just can't support a place that tries to get over on you, especially with money!
Change this practice please! It's a shame my friends and I have to find a new place to go to.
RESPONSE TO THE OWNER:
Firstly, we had 6 people in our group, not 8, so I'm not sure why automatic gratuity was even applied to our bill. Secondly, the server made NO mention at all about it, most likely because there were 6 of us and again she was going to try and get by with it..however if she did up front, we would have no issue. The issue is that she just slid the bill to us and left, then proceeded to watch from over by her POS, pull cash out to leave a tip on the table for her and again, didn't say hey gratuity is already on there. So she was trying to double dip on us, which isn't a good look. We have no problem tipping for service, just don't try and get one over on us. That was the main issue. You would think being a "sports" bar they would know people want to hear the interviews and michigan celebrating a national championship. I djed for 15 years and I would even know better than this. Wouldn't recommend this fake sports bar. The owner says the fans of the bar did this.. so in other words they let some control the experience for all. They played 3 or more songs not just the fight song as the owner suggest. I wouldn't complain about the fight song. This should've been done after the interviews and celebrating was over, then it would've been fun. Trust me I was in a group of 20+ people we were not happy about it. I'm not the complaining type but this was a long wait for us to see happen just sad we had to miss the players reactions to their hard earned efforts. Honestly you have a nice bar and the Staff was good. Just don't ruin a good thing when you're supposed to be a SPORTS bar.
Also the owner childishly blocked me on Facebook for commenting the same thing. As a business owner myself you should really be willing to take and want to address customer complaints not block them on Facebook that will 100% make sure me or anyone I know return.
