The Taco Company — Restaurant in Brownstown Charter Township

I just have to start off by saying that I was not super excited to try The Taco Company. Our area is so over-saturated with Taco/Mexican restaurants, and honestly, most are just not great. So when my husband asked me to pick up some tacos from The Taco Company, I was less than thrilled.

Boy... was I SO wrong about this place! SO wrong that I had to come on here and write a review and apologize for thinking negatively before giving you guys a try! I am a reformed taco lover!

For starters, the location is great with ample parking. The exterior of the store is very modern. Inside is also very modern and VERY clean. You can eat in at a table or carry-out, but all orders are placed at the counter.

I ordered us: 6 Carne Asada Street Tacos and 2 CBLT Tacos, along with a side of Rice and Beans. Let me just say... it was love at first bite! Seriously. The flavor of the carne asada was out of this world! I've had A LOT of street tacos in my day (my husband is Hispanic and tacos to him are LIFE lol) therefore I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that these were the BEST tacos I have ever eaten!

And the CBLT tacos? AMAZING! I love how all the meat is chopped up kind of fine, and how you support the crunchy shell with a soft flour tortilla to catch all the yummy bits that may fall! And don't get me started on the slightly spicy sauce on it! Seriously - SO good!

We also REALLY loved the beans. We initially thought they were going to be refried beans, like most other establishments, but they were charro beans, which was a nice surprise! They were packed with so much flavor too. Some of the best I have ever had.

Oh, and let's not forget about the verde salsa! Soooo so good I could practically drink it! So don't forget to get an 8 oz. container to go! You'll regret it if you don't!

Everything was so good that we came back a few days later and ordered more tacos! Then the following week we went back and ordered a Carne Asada Bowl and some more tacos! Seriously - everything we've had so far has been incredibly flavorful, fresh and hot! We haven't had one bad experience so far.

The staff has always been super friendly and the food is prepared fresh! If you haven't tried them yet - definitely go! I think as long as they keep the food fresh and consistent, as well as keep up the customer service, they will do amazing things in the...

Upon arrival at the Taco Company in the midafternoon, my family and I were thrilled to discover a vibrant atmosphere buzzing with a large crowd savoring their delicious street tacos. The line was a bit long to order carry out, but fortunately, the cashiers were remarkably efficient in processing all the orders. The restaurant's open floor plan allowed us to witness the kitchen staff's mastery in slaying those tacos de pollo, carne asada, and al pastor on the grill. My daughter's request for a strawberry agua fresca was a revelation - rich, creamy, and bursting with fresh strawberry flavor. I highly recommend this refreshing delicious drink. Our tacos were served fresh, generously packed with meat, and I became an instant devotee of their tasty green salsa. My only regret was not purchasing more of that exquisite, authentic salsa. The Taco Company is a must-visit destination anytime, day or night, for a truly outstanding street...

The Taco Company on Sibley Road in Brownstown has a good location in a small strip right off I-75. There are 2 other restaurants nearby and another coming soon to the same strip. Everything is ala carte at The Taco Company including chips and salsa when dining in. A bit pricey for Mexican food but expected as it’s a chain restaurant. Expect to pay at least $20 per person with a soft drink and tip. Very clean and modern dining area. They do a lot of takeout and people were standing around waiting for their food orders near the seated diners. The food was fresh and good and this area of metro Detroit and Downriver have a lot of original or family owned non- franchise restaurants that offer better tasting tacos and Mexican food at more reasonable prices. The service was good. This place has attracted young workers and they delivered customer service...
