I have lived in Kingsville Corpus Christi, and San Antonio, and have been to many bakeries in these cities because I have a sweet tooth! Ayala Bakery on military Highway is the best tasting, fresh, and variety of pan dulce I have ever had! Ayala bakery on military highway in Brownsville is soooooo DELICOUS and FRESH! Absolutely fantastic Mexican bakery - we loved the empanadas, muffins and cookies. I thought the crust on the empanadas was more delicate and flavorful than I've experienced in other Mexican bakery empanadas. I'll say the same thing about the Carrot Cake? muffin and the raspberry dotted cookie - the dough was so full of flavor, yet light and not cakey/heavy like most Mexican bakery fare.

They serve the best pan de dulce and there coffee is amazing. We always try to stop by before leaving our daughters to school.
