C & C Wings — Restaurant in Brownsville

I really debated giving this 2-stars however the overall sub-standard experience here really pushed me to give this to a 1-star review. This place is nothing but a rotting carcass of its former self.

Food was 8/10 however the quality of the food is meaningless if the atmosphere and service are trash - which they are.

Our waitress took forever to serve us, kept shorting us on sauce even when we ordered more and on top of that were shorted 8 wings.

We ordered 30 for 60 wings, only received 52 - I counted them. Told the waitress who never brought back the right amount.

Above all else, the incessant amount of annoying sellers, peddlers and food flippers that kept interrupting our meal was absolutely unacceptable. We could not go 5 minutes without yet another filthy looking peddler attempting to sell us flowers, roses, gum, pies or whatever disgusting concoction they cooked in their section 8 home or trailer.

What kind of substandard establishment allows peddlers to disrup patrons while they are trying to eat?? Nobody wants to be interrupted every 5 min by some Venezuelan trying to sell them junk.

This place used to be great but it really is nothing more than a shell of its former self.

Avoid this place like the plague, not worth the hassle to wait in line just to get spammed by peddlers every 5 min while you're trying to eat.

The management of this place really needs to reconsider how they do business if they want to...

This was one of our favorite establishments in the city until today. As we dine-in we ordered 10 wings plus the 10 free wings for myself and 10 wings plus the free wings for my wife. As we finished, eating we asked for a box to go. Ohhhh we don't give out boxes for the wings. So you mean to tell me I paid for 10 wings and can't take my food.

Asked for the manager, she replied it's been this way for 30 years. As a person not from Brownsville, how are we supposed to know this. It's NOT posted anywhere in the establishment or on the sign outside.

Some guy that works there wanted to put his 2 cents into the conversation and got rude, and sent me into another zone. Then one guy said we can charge you for regular price and you can take your food. We'll, if $138 will make your day charge me because I'm not leaving my food. Mind you that $138 included our drinks too.

The manager said the waitress was supposed to notify us when we ordered. Well, guess what we WILL NOT be returning to this restaurant.

What should have happened was we should been able to take the 10 wings we paid for and left the 10 free ones behind, but they thought they were smart..... $138 is small things to a GIANT....

It was the last TWO TIMES I have gone.

First time I was asked to leave as soon as I walked in the by blonde. She said I couldn’t have my child in there when I’ve never ever been told that before. She was VERY RUDE ABOUT IT. I felt attacked and embarrassed.

Nothing tops like this last time I went, I was sitting down for 8 minutes waiting to be awknowldge. No greet, no “ we’ll be with you in a moment. “ just dirty and ugly looks by the waiters and the people working as we walked in.

Everyone was in a bad mood. We moved location of tables so we would be acknowledged, and the only thing they told us was “ YOU CANT SIT THERE UNLESS YOU HAVE A LARGE PARTY”

We replied back with “can you find us a table or let us know where we can sit? Because we were sitting already, but no one was ever awknowledge us.”

Another customer came up to him aT the same time and asked if he knew where they can sit, and he yelled at them too and gave them and us an attitude.

After that experience, I will never recommend this place to anyone, unless they want to be-little and disrespected BY A LOCAL RESTAURANT!
