I review a lot of restaurants and I must say I was surprised by how disappointed I was in the service. I was ready to order and I was told there was someone a head of me and that I couldn't order yet. Ok, even though I had already been waiting 20 minutes. I'm not asking you to make it, but I guess you can't jot it down? Hmmm. Also, waitress behind the bar simply didn't want to communicate about the town, or the bar or its history or even what they serve. The food was good, but sandwich was too large to get my mouth around it. No knife or fork in sight, also not even a glass of water. 2 stars was very generous so I changed to 1 star! Eat somewhere else. My sandwich was $8.50 and I left a $20 bill and didn't even get a thank you.

We were on our way to Tim Foust Oregon Getaway. Stopped at the Brownsville Saloon. Had a great time. Watched the end of the Beaver game and then the Ducks. Employees were fun and the video poker machines paid off fair. Love this place and we will return!

Bartender was super friendly, food was delicious and the price was amazing. Football on tv, pool tables and gambling. What more could you ask from a saloon!

Went to eat here on March 3rd called ahead and made a reservation and advised of how many people to expect. Got a call the day of the reservation and was told to basically not show up because of a larger group coming in, showed up anyway becuase we didn’t have time to find another establishment to eat at and plans had been made with people out of town. A new standard was set that evening for how poor service can be offered. Food orders where lost and never showed up after 3.5 hrs of waiting we only saw half the food that we ordered. It was mentioned it was the owners sons birthday which is no excuse for poor service or forgetting food orders. Excuses upon excuses and we were still expected to pay any other establishment would have comped something but nothing was even mentioned. I have been eating here since the food portion was added and the new owners have set a new standard of low. I’m having serious doubts about going back and will stop recommending this place to anyone who wants to eat in Brownsville. If I could give 0 stars I would but am unable not even deserving of a 1 Star

Edit in response to Owner, we were called and told someone related or affiliated with the owner was coming in and were told not to show up it was defiantly the Brownsville tavern or saloon whatever name you want to go by if you like you can leave a number and I’ll call...

My man and I decided to go check out the saloon last night(4/2/18)...So we get there at 10:30, walk in, and some guy says they’re closed..We didn’t even get a hello...Just a group of insiders that gave us a look and formed is away...They close at midnight by the way...Way to make people not feel welcome. Tomorrow is my man’s birthday and all he wanted to do was check out the bar. Brownsville used to be my absolute most favorite town..Way to be friendly Brownsville! 👌🏻👎🏻👏🏻🙏🏻There were was a small group of mainly old timers. No more than 10 people sitting at the bar. We were so bummed out. Automatically sucked all out our excitement away haha. We ended up going to the peacock in Corvallis. Had a beer and an awesome meal! My friend and his wife own the peacock anyway, so why not show them some...
