East of Chicago — Restaurant in Brunswick Hills Township

What skimpy food this East of Chicago prepares for its customers. The prices charged are not matched by the quality and quantity of the food. Many times I would call them on the phone during their business hours and they would not pick up. I also had a chicken salad from here. It was like I was playing hide and seek with the chicken. Where was it? And the pieces I found were dried up and small. The rudest business encounter was when I ordered a simple taco pizza with extra beef and extra cheese. I was first inconvenienced by their lack of delivery drivers, so I had to drive to pick up the pizza myself. Then, when I got my pizza home, I noticed the order was wrong. I ordered and paid for extra beef and cheese, yet there was way less than an average amount of beef and cheese. My guests also agreed that I was cheated. I called to complain. The owner answered the phone, and, without introducing herself, rudely told me that she made the pizza and that I was wrong. Ignoring my reply, she hung up on me. This owner made the worst, skimpiest, lowest quality pizza I have ever had. This owner had no manners, class, or respect for her customers. I would suggest Papa Johns, Fat bobs, or Donatos Pizza over this place any day. The customer service and food quality at those places are way better than East of Chicago’s. This USED to be a good location.... due to new ownership that apparently does not care about anything don't waste your money. We placed an order days ago for salads and wings, paid extra for extra meat on the salad. When it arrived we counted LITERALLY four halves of pepperoni. Also the cold dressings were crammed into the bag with the hot wings making them cold. Called right away because things happen and get missed, the guy I talked to said he was the manager and was nice enough but said that he had to talk with the owner before giving any refund or anything and would call me back. No big deal.... until I didn't receive a call back and called the following day to speak with a wonderful worker who again was very apologetic but not the owner and couldn't do anything because of the new ownership. She told me that I would be called the following day around noon but also gave me the times that both owners were supposed to be in.... Next day... guess what... NO CALL... so I called and the owner left early... but I can call back again the following day. I call and finally get to speak with an owner who said "we reviewed the video" and yeah could have cared less... no apologies for not calling no recognition nothing.... WORST EXPERIENCE EVER with ANY...

The owner/manager is such a jerk. Every time I order from here my pizza or subs are messed up. Tonight I ordered pizza and there was no cheese or pepperoni on a couple pieces I told the manager and she started to argue with me and told me that I was wrong and then explain to her that I used to work at it East of Chicago at a different location and we never produced pieces that have no cheese or toppings on any of the pieces and she asked which location I worked out so I told her and she said she was going to call and verify that I work there almost 20 years ago it is ridiculous that she would even call to verify that I work there the whole point is she does not want to rectify the situation when they make mistakes if I could have rated with 0 Stars I would have I am definitely never going to order from this company again simply due to the fact that the manager truly is such a jerk I would rather drive all the way to the East of Chicago in Medina and get food there instead of getting it from the East of Chicago five minutes away from my house having to wait over an hour for my delivery to get cold food that has no...
