We went for a late lunch. What an amazing experience we had. We were all tired, craved seafood and just wanted to relax. From the moment we walked in we felt right at home. Our waiter let us relax. We never felt hurried. Unlike other restaurants where they drive you like cattle until the bill comes. Not only was the service outstanding, the food was too. We got the captain’s platter with a huge fillet of haddock. It was so perfectly cooked. White and juicy. Along with a lobster that wasn’t the normal chicken size most restaurants give you, it was larger. And cooked perfectly. The right color and the meat slid out. A person in our party got the haddock sandwich and noted how fresh it was. We also got the coconut shrimp, yum! Fries were great too. But this food would be nothing without great service. A notable event happened. My elderly friend forgot his take home food. We were about to pull out on the main road And who appeared, but our waiter. Seeing his heart and going above and beyond just secured this restaurant as my favorite place to go in Brunswick. The only other seafood place I haven’t tried is Cameron‘s but this even beat Schutty’s. The best part is, we were eating there to celebrate my mom’s birthday as she is in heaven now. And I know she was looking down, smiling on us too. Watching us enjoy our food..❤️🙏

As someone who loves seafood, I can confidently say that Fishermen's Net in Portland, Maine is the best place to indulge in some of the freshest and most delicious seafood I've ever tasted! This seafood joint truly deserves a 5 out of 5-star rating for their exceptional service, quality of food, and overall dining experience. From the moment you walk into Fishermen's Net, you'll be greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about seafood, and they'll happily help you navigate the menu to find the perfect dish for your tastes. Now let's talk about the food - wow! Every dish is crafted with care and precision, using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients. But what really sets this place apart is their live seafood selection. The lobsters are caught fresh daily and cooked to perfection, delivering that sweet and succulent flavor that Maine is known for. But it's not just the lobsters that are a hit - their selection of crabs and other live seafood options are equally as mouth-watering. If you're in Portland, Maine, you simply must check out Fishermen's Net. It's truly a seafood lover's paradise, and the quality of the food and service will exceed all of your expectations. So go ahead and treat yourself to a 5-star experience - you won't regret it!

I stopped by here on a drive from Bar Harbor to Ogonquit for lunch because of the great reviews. While the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, the food did not live up to the reviews. We had the fried scallops and clams platter (not on the menu as a platter option but our waiter said they could accommodate that), which were unfortunately, incredibly greasy. I understand they’re fried, but there was a soup of oil under the food that was unpleasant. It was difficult to eat more than 4 pieces because of the excess of oil. Next was the lobster banh mi. Now this might be my fault because why did I stray from the standard Maine Lobster Roll? Well, I had never seen a fusion of New England cooking with Vietnamese cuisine and was curious. It was highly disappointing because the flavor of lobster is so subtle and delicate that the sauce and cilantro on the banh mi completely overpowered any lobster taste.

I ate here with a friend the third time. I got the chicken Vietnamese sandwich. In my second bite, a long, black hair, pulled out of the chicken in the sandwich. I thought, well this could happen anywhere. Lo and behold, three bites later, this happened again, with another long, black hair, that pulled out of my sandwich like a string of mozzarella on a pizza. You don't want to eat here; obviously the sanitation in the back room is not as good as it appears up front. It makes me wonder what happens behind the scenes. There are plenty of great seafood restaurants in brunswick, bypass this one, unless you want to eat multiple unknown person's hair in your food! Nasty!

I thought I might still return to eat here again, but no, there are many other great seafood places close by. I would be cringing every time I took a bite of my food, expecting a long hair; stuff of my nightmares! Cameron's, and Shuttys are two that are amazing, so they will get business.

They did not make us pay for my sandwich, with the hair in it, or my friend's sandwich. It was not a big tab. We each had a...
