Denny's — Restaurant in Bryan

I will start by saying that I normally came here before and the service was excellent, I loved it. Tonight, however, was a very different story. My grandfather and I waited much longer than normal to be seated and to place our orders, the place had maybe five tables taken in the whole restaurant. We were very patient and I didn't speak out but only once and as politely as possible. The waitstaff were ill-mannered; the waitress that served us had her hair in a mess, she was wearing sweatpants and an A+M tee shirt, and there was no indication on her that she worked there other than her pen pad. The other waitress was very rude, no eye contact, she used words like "yeah" "sure" "here" in place of normal polite dialogue. I got my food and I was immediately disappointed, the platter looked smaller than expected and had NO meat. Are you kidding me? That's the main part of the meal! How could you just FORGET to add the most important part of the meal I ordered? I brought it to the attention of the waitress. She came back with a HANDFUL of a different meat than what my meal had! Unbelievable. While waiting for the waitress to come back with the most important part of my meal I found a hair in my food. That was my tipping point. I wonder if that's why you're not suppose to have your hair in a messy fashion while handling food? I said nothing about this. I politely finished eating, payed for the meal and then left. We even left a tip. I still can't believe that this happened, I did not expect this from a Denny's whatsoever. I will never go back to this location in fear of a similar experience the second time. Anybody that reads this should go to IHOP instead. Maybe there the employees actually payed attention when they trained for their food...

My significant other and I walked in at 11:30 am on a Saturday which is normal for it to be busy. Whole point of us coming to this side of town was because the one off of Texas Ave is always full of students and what not. Working in a restaurant before this location was not at all prepared for the rush. The staff member that was handling customers that were waiting for tables was very informal , asking people "yo you sitting or to go or something?" Not a very good image of the store. We waited for over 25 mins for a spot and once we sat down and ordered our drinks we were informed that it would be about 45 MORE minutes before our food came out and judging by how sticky our table was and it had trash underneath the table it was not worth the wait on the only day i had off of work. I was very disappointed cause i looked forward to eating at Denny's but this was by far the worst visit i had the service was mediocre and they should have limits on how many 20 top tables could sit at once. They took up most of the dining room to the point no one could sit at a regular table. That was probably the reason why they couldn't keep up with the food was because they took in too many big groups at one time. I will not visit this location again and possibly not the other location as well. Needless to say we went to mc.donalds instead and got our food in less than 15 mins while they...

Rude, unprofessional people. Was there an hour and a half and never received our order while people who came in after us had already received their order. Waitress served coffee to others and waljed by us as if we weren't there. We were nice and courteous. We didn't even stink, we took showers before we left the house. Been to this place a thousand times over the past 35 years, very friendly and good food/service. We didn't understand except to come to the conclusion that the management was Hispanic because that was ALL in there. I use to live in Bryan for years. I DON'T care who runs the place as long as it's clean, friendly and good food/service. We politely got up and left. We could have caused a scene but what would that have done, probably more trouble. Very disappointed. Never will go back when we are back in Bryan/College Station, Tx.

Mothers day 2023. We came back to visit my mother and family. Guess where we went to eat? Well, yes, always willing to give it a second chance.
