I had planned to try the other Mexican place down the street, but as luck would have it they were closed (despite Google maps saying they were open). So I decided to try 4 Queens instead, and talk about a stroke of great fortune!

Let me tell you all, I love Mexican food, somewhat to the dismay of friends and family who sometimes would prefer other cuisine. I've tried Mexican places from San Diego to Seattle, Miami to Maine. The very best Mexican food I've ever had in the US was in El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM. Those people know how to make some absolutely incredible food.

While I've only tried a single dish at 4 Queens, I can confidently say that meal was as good as the food in El Paso/Las Cruces. I thought it just wasn't possible to get Mexican food as good as out there, and I was overjoyed to have been proven wrong!

I enjoyed the Santa Rita entree, which consisted of beef with a red sauce and slow cooked pork with a green sauce, along with a cheese quesadilla and avocado slices. The red and green sauce were both excellent; I confirmed with the staff that they're made fresh in house daily.

The draft beer prices are crazy low, the horchata has free refills, the chips and salsa hit the spot.

In short, you can't go wrong with a visit to 4 Queens. It's really...

While spending a few days in Bryson City, like many others, we weighted our options on Mexican restaurants based on ratings, and I think we made the right choice. First, busy, yes, but their keep things moving. Seated and was happy to see a wet cleaning rag and a broom used at our table before sitting down. A great selection on the menu, along with an open sala bar. Hot chips, cool sala with a nip of spice! The food was very flavorful, hot, and presented well, and it tasted as good as it looked. Here is my key takeaway from 4 Queens. I challenge you to find a cleaner, busyer, well run Mexican restaurant. We have favorites back home, but the days of sweeping or vacuuming below tables between seating is long over in 80+% of places. Then add that the team is cleaning tables with wet, cleaning rags and wiping behind them... WHAT? Again, pay attention as those days are over. Most of these places take a dry rag or paper towel and "dust it off". And allow you to walk the chip crumbs in the floor - not here. I can only guess the owner/s who care about their investment, and customers are the ones and ensuring their staff does so as well. So if you're going to take a suggestion based on your well-being, try here, and the food will be...

4Queens is a great place to stop in Bryson City. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is impeccably clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The outdoor seating area is a true highlight. It offers stunning views of the river, creating a serene and picturesque backdrop for your meal. It's the perfect spot to relax and unwind while enjoying some delicious food. And the food... oh, the food! The chile poblano is simply out of this world—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. All the dishes we tried were made with super fresh ingredients, and the quality truly shines through. The portions are generous, ensuring you'll leave feeling completely satisfied. To top it all off, they have Pacifico and Dos Equis on tap, which is the perfect complement to their authentic Mexican cuisine. 4Queens is a must-visit for anyone in the Bryson City area looking for a fantastic...

My wife and I Passed this place on the way to the train depot, and decided to eat dinner before boarding. The restaurant was crazy busy, but the staff did a great job, quickly cleaning off tables, and seating people. We had a hard time choosing what to eat as everything on the menu looked fantastic! I had the Alambre (pictured) and it was great, I've never had anything like this at a Mexican restaurant before. The only thing I personally didn't care for was the salsa, I can't stand cilantro and it was very heavy in the salsa, but this one thing would not stop me from coming back to this restaurant. The restaurant was very clean, and had a 100% sanitary rating!! (You don't see that often!). The staff was friendly, the food was fantastic, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!
