The food is pretty flavorless but I continue to convince myself to try again since it is so close to my house. This time I tried the drive-thru and after stating what I wanted the worker didn't say anything but left the headset on so I could hear static. I waited for him to let me know my total and to tell me to pull up but after waiting for about 2 minutes I hesitantly asked if he had heard my order. He replied with "yes" so I then asked him if I could pull forward, his response was once again a simple "yes". I got to the window and he didn't acknowledge me for several minutes then opened the window and told me my total, no hello or hi or greeting of any kind. I handed my card over and he swiped it and handed it back, I said "thank you" and he ignored me. When he handed me my drink I again said "thank you" and again was ignored. When he handed me my food I AGAIN said "thank you" with no response, he then shut the window. I said, "well have a nice day to you too." and I drove away. Normally I don't write reviews, good or bad, since my experiences have never been phenomenal or detrimental but this experience really got to me. I was in Central Phoenix all day conducting interviews for a customer service representative and I had spent 8 hours in these interviews with one 8 minute break and no lunch so I was pretty much hungry as a bear and chose this establishment. I am very disappointed by the lack of BASIC customer service skills presented to me by this employee, such as saying hello, thank you, you're welcome, or have a nice day. Needless to say I will no longer be patronizing this particular establishment. I've been a resident in Buckeye for going on 12 years now and I try to put my hard earned money back into my community because I believe in community involvement and growth but this just was not warranted and has turned me away permanently. -I am not writing this review for the majority of Buckeye residents however more in the hopes that the owners of this establishment may take an interest and possibly, hopefully, try to rectify the issue by investing in some customer service training for their...
Read moreI really love this place and I only have driven through and picked up food. Their food is incredible and some of the best I've found this far. Good prices too. I checked my bank statements from last month and spent a total of almost $600 here in a month! Not from it being expensive, just from me getting food here about every other night. I've become such a frequent night flyer that they even know I want green salsa with my meal without even asking!
Carne Asada Fries - Oh man, these babies are delicious! Some places you'll find hard meat, or hardly any sour cream or guac. But not here! You can tell the fries are fresh, the meat is fresh, and loads of sour cream and guac! This is my wife's favorite dish from here.
Steak Fajitas - Their fajitas are amazing and way cheaper than most places! If I remember correctly, they are about $12 for the plate which comes with a heap of fresh fajitas with sour cream, guac, perfect blend of bell peppers in with the meat, and a generous portion of refried beans and seasoned rice. This is my favorite dish.
Carne Asada tacos - Absolutely delicious and just under $4. One will certainly hold you over for lunch.
Carne Asada Burrito - If you have not caught on yet, I love steak. Their Carne Asada burrito is unreal. Don't skip the Pico or guac because they seal this burrito together with perfection! If you are buying for two, get the double Carne Asada burrito plate which saves a little and you get beans and rice. Don't forget green salsa to top off this amazing burrito.
Horchata - what can I say? I LOVE Horchata and would buy it by the gallon if I could. Next visit, grab a large Horchata and...
Read moreFirst off I want to say that most of the time their food is very delicious. What is off-putting about this establishment is the blatant racism of the Mexican staff. I was a third person in line and I had the privilege to watch how the cashier treated the Hispanic gentleman in front of me and the Caucasian gentlemanin front of him. So I was pretty stoked that this place finally got a cashier who was not indifferent about her job. Boy was I wrong! All the positivity and good customer service ended at the gentleman in front of me. She wasn't even looking at me in my direction when you take someone's order you have to leave look at the person she didn't until I was finished ordering that's when she look past me start smiling and helped the Caucasian family behind me. I really enjoy filibertos foods so I generally tolerate these type of situations but when you completely see that everybody is not treated the same way when they walk in these restaurants based upon the color of their skin I say enough is enough. If you are African American descent or of darker complexion I would say stay away from the filibertos in buckeye or if you do feel the inkling to eat at this establishment make sure you check your food for spit and other foreign objects, because this places where...
