We were super disappointed by Todd's Barbecue. The quality of the ingredients is no better than what you can buy in the freezer section of your grocery store. Mushy fries, questionable burgers, very limp and slimy lettuce, watery pulled pork (seemed like it had come from the freezer), and stale hamburger buns. We ordered quite a bit of food and several appetizers and none of it was good. The server was friendly but she disappeared after serving us our food and we needed condiments for the food. The staff was hanging out in another part of the restaurant. I understand that they were tired after a huge dinner rush, but after calling for someone for 10 minutes in what seemed like an empty restaurant, someone finally showed up. It wasn't even our waitress. The place was okay. Nothing too notable. It did smell a bit like old grease, but it could have just been the day. None of the tables had been cleaned and had to wait for our table to be wiped down. Again, they had just finished a dinner rush. We were really hoping it would have been better. I hate leaving bad reviews, but the whole experience was such a...
Read moreWas driving north from NC, heading back to NY. It was getting late, needed dinner & wanted to do a local place, searched google and found this GEM only minutes off of I81...well worth the detour. Not sure if the three or four negative reviewers were in another establishment, as this place was awesome. Unpretentious and zero splashy, it's local & real. They close at 9pm, so I called as it was an 8:45 arrival for me, they said "C'mon over". Glad I did. Sabrina served me, I was only one of two left. Sat at bar table, watched MNF, had a couple of local lagers and a delicious order of ribs; the meat was fall off the bone tender. On top of that, Sabrina and I had wonderful conversations on family, volunteering (she pays back to underprivileged families), law enforcement (I'm ret NYPD) & life in general. I felt like I had been there a million times, just the perfect place. ...
Read moreI could almost right a book, maybe a short story about our experience at Todd's. We had driven all day from upstate New York, through Vermont, over to Maine and back through New Hampshire, Maryland and near the end of our travels for the day we stumbled upon Todd's BBQ. Since my name is also Todd, I knew it had to be good. Lord have mercy, I was right. This place is phenomenal. I apologize for not remembering the name of our waitress, how ended up being the owner and granddaughter of the late great Todd himself, God rest his soul.... This lady, wow, she is an Angel 😇. The food was outstanding, done the right way. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The locals are blessed to have this establishment and the fine folks running it. I would recommend eating here at least 5 nights a week. I give...
