When I become a millionaire, might just donate my fridge and stove, convert my kitchen into a man cave, and just eat Almandy every day. This is some real, visceral, gutteral Yemeni food. Get the classic lamb stuff ie. haneedh, or better yet the mandy which I discovered is like the same thing but with even MORE flavor, and make sure you tell them to put the khudar over it which is just seasoned grilled veggies they use for some other recipes but they really should be putting on the lamb stuff by default. I only know about it cuz one of their guys just threw it on one day for me, I guess that was just his thing? But if you're a Real G that understands game, then forget all that just order the kibda, ask for extra gravy. Don't worry about what it is, just eat that. I thought my dad's kibda was good (Palestinian) til I had it in Egypt, but somehow this Yemeni kibda got them both beat. If you eat in, they'll bring you some spiced maraq, just a simple broth soup made from the drippings of the meats they cook. On a cold winter day forget hot cocoa just give me that stuff. They also have other iconic Yemeni soups like salta or fahsa which are all wild good, and nothing like other soups you know. Also their baked chicken is super popular though not my thing, I mean dude they got lamb, who is out here missing that for some ordinary baked chicken with red stuff on it? And ABSOLUTELY try their smoothie kiosk, This is important. Trust me this ain't Jamba juice. He has real fruit and nuts and all kinds of things and he makes juices and smoothies that you never thought could be a thing. They're not evenreally smoothies, it's just the closest word English has for the miracles of the juice kiosk dude (real good dude too). Araisi is my wife's favorite one, it's like mango yogurt loaded up with a whole world of fruits and nuts and other stuff I...
Read moreWould give it a zero if I could. I have never left a negative review but this place made me to. We drove over an hour to go to this restaurant for the second time to have baked fish. Even we have noticed big changes in the restaurant set up but the Customer service and hostess attitude has changed since last time. First the hostes guided us to the wrong place. Secondly we have waited for about 45 minutes for our order after our baked fish was ready, they served it without bread and plates waiting for a while and then we went to their counter to ask for plates. There was a rude gentleman who give us disposable plates and we asked for our 3rd order and he got upset start yelling infront of the other guest and being very rude and impolite. We asked for manager to talk to and he said he is the manager. We ended up leaving without eating as he was so rude and impolite. We definitely do not recommend anyone to go to this place espacially those who go with...
