Here's the reason for my review ! I go to the Broadway market pretty often, this time I went there on 3 different occasions. I tried their Chicken Biryani, I also tried vegetable samosa, and today I tried the chicken Tikka and the chicken curry. I will post a picture of the chicken curry.
Let me start out by saying the food served here is usually not served hot. At least the times I went, I saw with my own eyes they reheat the food in the microwave .....I don't think I need to say anything else about that. In my opinion, I don't think a restaurant should let food sit out to get cold then reheat, that's a safety issue.
My next issue is the actual taste. The food is typically bland, I wanted to give it a try because I see they're fundraising and they're local. But the rice is not seasoned a ton. I had my final purchase today of curry chicken which was super watery. When I explained this was not what I expected I was told this is how it is and that it's supposed to be a gravy...right...gravies are thick usually. I've had curry from so many places in buffalo ( see reviews) that I just can't take any place telling me a watered down orange liquid is supposed to be a curry sauce.
I ultimately gave the food back to the woman working and traded for the Tikka which she was making fresh and sampling. That actually tasted fine.
Anyway, I would try at your own risk because the cold food/food safety is...

But I decided to give it a shot. This was by far the worst food I've had in a LONG time. The food was half cold from the microwave and EXTREMELY DRY. Almost like it had been sitting out days prior... There was also maybe 2 pieces of chicken for my whole meal and rice is sold seperate, which is odd. I felt like I was eating actual dog food and encourage everyone to eat somewhere else near the mall. $13 wasted...
Read moreI love her food. Her samosas are the best I've ever had. Not everyone puts carroway and black sesame in their samosas. Hers are full of delicious flavor. Her biryani is also excellent. At one point she had a place in the McKinley food court, but now she is primarily at the Broadway Market. I'm not a fan of that location, but she also cooks fresh at the Clarence Hollow Farmer's Market on Saturdays from June to October, so we like to pick up the food there. The whole family is lovely and the food...
