I recently had the pleasure of ordering a custom cake from Cakes By Katya for my mom's 60th birthday celebration, and I couldn't be more happy with the experience. From the moment I made the initial call, I was met with extreme kindness and professionalism that instantly put me at ease.

One of the standout aspects of working with Katya was how easy it was ordering a custom cake. I had a vision of what I wanted, and she not only listened to my ideas but also went above and beyond to make them a reality. I even provided a photoshopped version of the cake design I had in mind, and to my amazement, she executed it flawlessly. The attention to detail was truly remarkable, and I was beyond impressed with the final product.

When I arrived to my wedding venue, I’ll admit i was frantic, nervous, and overall overwhelmed. I was double, triple checking things and what not - as you do on your wedding day…. And when i tell you i stopped DEAD IN MY TRACKS when i saw my wedding cake, i legitimately mean i stopped dead in my tracks when I saw my wedding cake. I called my groomsmen over to look at the cake and all of them were awestruck. I legitimately looked at this thing for 5 minutes. It actually calmed me down in a way. It felt like I was looking at a renaissance painting, i wish i was kidding. Katya is a one hell of an artist, and she one hell of a baker (b/c that cake was SO GOOD). Of all the vendors we used - there is no second place b/c CAKES BY KATYA is 1, 2, and 3. SO REASONABLY PRICED, when she told us the final price for a cake + 2 sheet cakes, my jaw hit the floor and I could not pay my deposit fast enough. She is the amazing on so many levels. So accommodating, so easy to work with, so friendly. I am running out of adjectives, seriously. My wife and I agree if we are to go to a wedding in the Buffalo area and they did not use Cakes by Katya - will we not be attending, again I am not kidding. Of all the engaged and soon to be engaged couples at our wedding, we have told them in a very politely, yet firmly to use Cakes by Katya not only for their wedding cake, but for all their celebratory needs. Whether it’s for an anniversary or birthday - I will very much be using her services again and cannot wait to do so.

Cakes by Katya is a small, simple dessert bakery. Upon entering the bakery, your sights are set on a of beautiful wall of model cakes. Soon your greeted by the owner herself, Katya. Katya is a very pleasant person, and easy to talk to. She told Tai and myself, about her roots and how she started her business. While waiting to get the sour cream layer cake (Yelp perk), you can't help but notice the case of desserts. As some reviewers mentioned, the case of desserts is small. But the selections are so eye appealing, I doubt you walk away without finding something you like. Just to name a few you have, baklava, brownies, cheesecake (slices), German chocolate cake (slices), and cookies. I purchased a dozen cupcakes, and a slice of German chocolate cake. Now home, it's finally time to taste these beautiful looking desserts. I will make this very simple by saying, OMG!!! Every single dessert I tasted was amazing, the cupcakes was moist and the frosting was perfect. I was amazed to see a real strawberry piece, inside my strawberry crunch cupcake. The German chocolate cake, was so moist and rich with chocolate. I have to mention, that the desserts were not overly sweet. I never had desserts, that had the sugar ratio just right until now. It's pretty obvious, Katya has tremendous skills and uses the finest ingredients. Katya also does special occasion cakes, as well as regular cakes for purchases. I will be coming...
