HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would give ZERO stars if I could. I decided to leave a review about this first off because SEVERAL of my family members have consistently patronized this business. As a business owner myself, I am BIG on integrity as it relates to the kind of ETIQUETTE I lead with when ANY current or new customer approaches my services. For the lady to have HUNG UP on me THREE times just for asking a LEGITIMATE question about their delivery options spoke volumes so instead of ordering from them AGAIN, I decided to NO LONGER PATRONIZE House of China on Broadway or anywhere else they’re located and take my money to a competitor where both my presence and support of their business is actually appreciated.
The lady never apologized even once for hanging up on me abruptly just for asking legitimate questions that held COMMON SENSE relevance towards placing an order for delivery. We normally opt for pickup and have never used their delivery service before.
She acted as though it was a huge inconvenience or some favor I was asking from her personally like I dialed her home phone as opposed to calling a place of “business” that serves food in exchange for money to the general public. I had to call a fourth time due to her hanging up so fast just to say hey, how much is the delivery fee for our area?
Bottom line the lady was very short, mean spirited and highly unprofessional with an erroneous sense of entitlement that this kind of behavior is ok. It’s not merely what you say either, but how you say it.
At end of the day, her ugly disrespectful attitude is their downfall since that makes it hard to trust - especially for someone handling FOOD in a SERVICE INDUSTRY.
One of the key things I tell my clients to be careful of is customer reviews via Google first and foremost! Reviews are very crucial to a biz and apparently House of China does not care about theirs. I’m not surprised by the 3.8 rating due to the poor DUSTY attitude the lady who answered their phone displayed as if she could talk to people any kind of way. She’s likely a relative because the restaurant is family owned and operated. Her tone was unacceptable and a total turn off from me ever wanting to place a order with them again.
But I certainly will pass word of mouth about the undesirable experience to my family members, friends and biz partners/associates to steer clear of this restaurant that does NOT respect the customers who have been supporting their establishment. She messed up assuming I was going to just sit by and take the unwarranted BAD ENERGY. Nope.
This is to warn those who check reviews (as most people do these days) to be careful. There is a lack of temperance and misplaced value toward the community they claim to serve. If you’d rather spend your hard-earned money in a place where principles of human decency is honored- HOUSE OF CHINA IN BUFFALO NY ON BROADWAY AVENUE IS NOT IT!
They can keep their hit or miss Chinese food🥴.. It’s NOT worth u patronizing another day!

I called and asked for a replacement and told her that the food tasted funny. At first she tried to tell me that I never ordered, so I had to explain everything that came with the order.
