TLDR: Wings were terrible. Nothing like the pictures. I added the salt + pepper on the wings. Great for people that rate quantity over quality.
For readers: My overall experience across the United States has been, usually, in areas where the overall population survives on a lower middle or working wage, you find what are called “hood classics.” Small businesses that serve large, flavorful portions of food for an affordable price. I like to visit these businesses and update their reviews, usually for the better of the business. Unfortunately, Kensington Pizza missed the mark. The differences between the prices on their website and in store (+$4 or more) can be explained away by rising food/rent costs but the food quality cannot.
The good: The wings were BIG!
The Bad: could very clearly taste that they were fried in really old and burned cooking oil. The wings were fried hard - really hard. They were tough to get down. I added a bit of salt + pepper and it immediately improved the overall flavor.
Overall: 2/5 Service: 4/5
Pros: portions are large. They have a HUGE menu of offerings, it’s family owned, and the guys running it are pretty
Most unique offering : Fish and grits...
Read moreI’m very disappointed, I thought I had found my new spot for food. On average I spend a good $200-$300 a week on food because I work a lot. On 05/29/2020 I ordered a fish dinner with extra fish, 2 fried doughs, antipasto salad and a 2 liter Pepsi and ended up with the wrong order. I called the restaurant and the lady that answered called the driver. Somehow we got disconnected. So, I contacted grubhub, to get it straightened out. I told grubhub to tell them I didn’t want that food, because I knew it was going to be ice cold, and with Covid going on I didn’t want anything that’s been sitting. An hour later another driver show up. I’m like okay, maybe they recooked it because of the inconvenience. Nope overcooked cold fish, hard ice cold fried dough, which once it’s reheated the powdered sugars melts and the powdered sugar is what makes fried dough good. So, it got trashed pics attached. I will not be ordering...
Read moreEvery time I order from this place, it takes them over an hour to delivery the food. I literally live down the street from them. I just order from them recently, only because it's been over a year since I ordered from them. Their driver actually said to me, that he was not driving around with my food in the car (REALLY), but the food was cold.Their sauce is tasteless, but their spicy pepperoni would taste great, if they had a better sauce. I rather pay a little more from Franco's service and quality of food instead paying $10.99 with a $4 extra charge for using my credit card or it was for delivery (who knows). But that's what I get for going cheap and not spending more for a quality product. Bad buy and not good for the money if you want quality. The owner should look in the SWOT analysis to improve their product and...
