If you are looking for good food and service, steer clear of this restaurant! We ordered crab legs, fish tacos, chicken fingers and Cajun shrimp. The crab legs were old and so overcooked they were like chewing on rubber. When we showed the manager that they were brown and rubbery, she proceeded to use her BARE HANDS to dig through our food RIGHT IN FRONT of us at the table to see how much we ate!! She then removed the food and offered “a free dessert or more crab legs.” By that point we were so grossed out, we did not want anything else. The fish tacos were also sub par and even the chicken tenders were overcooked. We were shocked when the waiter brought the tab out to see the manager didn’t bother to change a thing! Unbelievable. When we asked about the crab legs and her confirming that they indeed looked rubbery/old she said “well the waitress asked you twice if things were good.” She did ask us before we had a chance to touch the food. Either way, who says that to a customer? Especially the manager of a restaurant. I was not going to leave a review because our server was sweet, but the way the manager handled the whole thing was absurd. Her attitude, her manners, and her actions. The only thing going for this restaurant is that is kid friendly. We will not be eating there again and making sure our VRBO guests...
Read moreMy boyfriend has been raving about this place and we had a free Saturday so decided to make the drive and go eat at the lake. It was after "lunch" but because of the holiday weekend we were surprised that there was no wait and we were sat immediately at an outside table, We ordered a shareable Margarita which was good, but I get the same size for half the price at my local Mexican restaurant. I love fried Mac and Cheese and was excited that it was offered as an appetizer, It was brought out about 3 minutes after we ordered it. It was not even warm, and tasted like it had just been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. We both ordered the famous fish tales basket...which while this was hot was just okay. Not really sure it was actual grouper. Again, our food was brought out very quickly. Our server offered us dessert, and we had the the raspberry cheesecake (which was VERY good) and then she just assumed we were done and brought our check. We did not feel welcome, we felt rushed to leave (there were plenty of tables available and no one waiting to be seated). Thank you for running us off!! We went and spent the rest of the afternoon and money closer to home. Only go here if you want really expensive drinks, so-so food and to be rushed to get out of there. Such a disappointing...
Read moreTo start out, I have never been one to leave a review EVER. My family and I used to LOVE fishtails and go often. We then moved over to Cherokee county. This weekend we decided to take our jet skis over from allatoona to Lanier just to come eat here. I brought a cover up, as bringing a full outfit is hard with a seadoo with no storage. Upon arrival the hosts whispered back and forth while looking at me and said I couldn't eat here because it's a "state law" to be fully clothed." There were 2 people I saw in bathing suit tops, or shirts that were far less coverage that my halter top with a cover up. I then mentioned this to the manager who then told me "this is a family friendly restaurant" and that I was dressed inappropriately for it. This was genuinely embarrassing as my outfit literally covered more than people sitting eating. I felt very uncomfortable at this point and left. Was very VERY disappointed in how we were treated, especially having spent a lot of money here in the past.
Needless to say we went and got drinks at margaritaville (a family friendly place) where they allowed me to drink. And we went and ate dinner at pelican Pete's (again family friendly and didn't turn me away at all). Don't waste your time...
