Decided to try this place out. Went to the register and I ordered the half chicken in my wife ordered the chicken bowl as a lighter option. But this was offered with fries. Offering greasy fries as default with this type of meal doesn't even make any sense. My wife specifically told the cashier that she did not want fries with her meal. The cashier was really confused while she was trying to figure out how to put in our order. Then on top of that, when checking out you are asked if you want to leave a tip before you've even received the food! We then sat down to look for a table but there were kids running everywhere, so we decided to sit at the only table away from them by the window. Unfortunately the sun was blazing hot and there are no window shades to block the direct sun in our faces. The cashier finally brought us our food after waiting for about 10 minutes and sweating in the sun. When brought out, our food all was packaged up in to-go bags. I told her that we never said that we wanted the food to go and she looked confused like she made a mistake. At that point we decided, never mind and we would just go home and take the food to go. Guess what, when we got home I opened the bag and noticed that, surprise... surprise, my wife received fries. I proceeded to look at the rest of her meal and not only did she not get her chicken bowl, she was given a greasy fried chicken sandwich with the fries. She couldn't eat that and had to throw it away. This place needs to get their act together when it comes to listening to the customers and getting the orders right. Atmosphere is also very limited. Not even going to bother calling because it's super irritating and just won't be going back. Just a note for the owners, since this is a newer business, and if you want it to be successful, this is the type of thing that irritates customers and ultimately...
Read moreWent to the place 2 times just to make sure it was the restaurant and not me. First of all food was like reheated BBQ chicken no way in this world 🌎 would I call that Mexican style pollo-asados. The jalapeno torados were soggy as the tres leches cake that was like a month old. The onions tasted like they came out of a garlic can. The sausage was jalapeno cheese and it was going rancid not everyone likes garlic it was to much spice couldn't even taste the food. Hot sauce was nothing but some sour cream and tomatoes the roasted hot sauce was the best had perfect spice and wasn't only tomato, all other sauces were not restaurant sauce.. the chips were burned and had a burnt taste. Beef fajitas were good Monday night we tried them again and it was garbage a waste of my time and lunch chewy and no flavor nothing like Monday. Now the staff one funny guy working the front a man acting like a woman nothing I'd want my kids to see at his age to confuse them about there manly hood and one kinda bearded guy screaming out the order kinda looked high on something other than life.🤣 Lol. Over all food was mediocre beans & rice were the best thing here at pollo filet really tasted like authentic scratch cooking everything else on this menu is nothing more than the cheapest quality of food at a high price.$$$$ For the price of chicken strips you can eat steak at Saltgrass. or go to Bill millers for better tasting chicken strips I would not recommend this fake pollo asados to anyone in San Antonio if you want good pollo asados go to Al carbon pollo asados on Cluebra rd. This place is a no go! I am a restaurant junkie born and raised in San Antonio Texas I know good food and this place...
Read moreI have ordered from their drive thru on several occasions. Food has always been good. But good food can easily leave a bad taste in your mouth with bad service. I human and I realize that someone can be having a bad day. I was met on this particular Saturday September 13th with the worst sarcasm by a man maybe in his late 30s or early 40’s wearing a red shirt. And they only thing I was guilty of was waiting patiently because no one answered the phone after 3 attempts ( you have two order by phone and then go thru the drive up) so I drove up and waited again to see if I could order at the window. This man finally came to the window and I asked if they were still open because I had made 3 calls. He then told me “yeah, you need to call us we don’t call you” ok I said but I have been waiting here and I also called. And then he replied with the same sarcastic tone. “ yeah, we been busy, what can I get you” I said nothing and drove off. On the way out I turned to count 3 cars parked in front. I would rather drive further out then to ever return...
