My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Griffinâs Antiques for the first time, and we were genuinely impressed. This charming shop, part of a growing network of small businesses, is revitalizing downtown Bunkie and breathing new life into the community.
As we wandered through the store, we were greeted by a warm atmosphere filled with unique treasures and nostalgic finds. Each section of the shop offered something different, making our experience feel like a delightful treasure hunt.
After browsing, we couldnât resist sampling some of the delicious offerings available. From classic glass-bottled sodas to an array of locally made pies and pastries, our taste buds were well satisfied. We also enjoyed hearty brisket sandwiches and some comforting Louisiana favorites like red beans and rice and gumbo.
The staff made us feel right at home, embodying the welcoming spirit of the community. Their passion for the shop and commitment to downtown Bunkie's revitalization truly stood out.
Weâre excited for the future of the "Bunkie Buz" initiative and all the local businesses involved. We canât wait to return to Griffinâs Antiques and discover more hidden gems. If youâre in the area, donât miss outâthereâs something special waiting...

I tasted it to give it the benefit of doubt, however it tasted like water with caramel. I only decided to add this review after calling them on it. I called, the person who answered abruptly and rudely put the phone on the counter, then another person answered by just saying "hello" I explained again that the frappe wasn't frozen and advised maybe something was wrong with the machine. She offered no apologies or anything. Simply said " ok, thank you". I was not impressed given the talk about this place. It most definitely did disappoint and I will never visit again. The experience, as well as the coffee, has left a disgusting taste in my mouth. ( see picture and video for reference on the appearance and liquid. )
Update: since the owner commented so quickly, and was so nice and expressed concern, I will be changing my stars, simply due to the fact, that my concern...
Read moreI always look forward to stop and hear either for a light lunch or a full-blown meal when I am in town every 3 months. Of course I can't leave without either a slice of pie or a whole pie to carry home. Somehow they have kept the fantastic food, and kept the prices down. If you're traveling through the area don't stop at any of the big m or other fast food joints because you actually will spend the same amount of money and why do that when you can get something actually homemade. I'm not really into the trinket shopping but they do have a neat little mall and even have some cool local made stuff couple of years ago I bought a big wooden Christian flag that was made there and Bunkie. Always love going here, and look forward to eating. This trip I got the red beans and rice, cornbread with a link of sausage and my helper got a brisket sandwich that is made on a homemade bun. He got the peach pie and I got the coconut...
