This is a little place on Main Street. If you blink, you'll miss it. It's a nondescript little building with red doors. When we entered through those charming red doors we were greeted by a friendly server and were told to sit where we pleased. The place isn't that big. Perhaps a dozen tables. We sat in the back corner. The building in old and has a certain charm of its own. I got the Big Cowboy Angus Burger with onion rings. The wife got the Baby Angus Burger also with rings. Dont let the word "Baby" fool you. At Farmers, "Baby" refers to a 4oz Burger. The Cowboy version of the burger has onion tangles and BBQ sauce. The burgers were quite good. The onion rings were out of this world. I'd go back just for the rings. We had a great meal at a very reasonable price. The staff there was super friendly. We got a good feeling as soon as we walked in. Will definitely be back. Update 05-17-22: Have been back several times since my original post. We'll keep.going back. The chow, portions, and price are still on point. Update 6/21/23: This was our first trip back in some time. The place is now under new ownership but the food is still super and prices are good. I got the open faced roast beef with mac n cheese and cucumber salad. I could have drank the cucumber salad juice. It was phenomenal. The roast beef and mac n cheese were solid performers. Wife got the fried chicken/bacon/cheese/ranch fries. They were super. Daughter got the fried chicken sandwich with mac n cheese. That was a big sandwich. Overall, a fine meal at a great price with super service. We won't be long between visits. Update 11/29/23: Chow is still good. Service is super. Prices are grand. Only change from last visit is that the wife got the open face roast beef and I went with the meatloaf. What a nice size hunk of loaf it was. Could not have been happier. Update 1/31/24: Went back for a visit. Got the same meals as my last update. Still good food at good prices Update 4/17/24: had the same meal and great experience as my...
Read moreI ordered the Reuben. It was not good. Very skimpy. Meat was brown. We wanted breakfast but missed it by 10 minutes. There a lot of flies. It's not very inviting. Staff seemed too busy to care you were even there. Bathroom's weren't very clean and not stocked with paper towels. Our server forgot to give us napkins and never returned to our table after giving us our food so we had to actually stand in the checkout line to even get napkins. One woman was working the register and was taking her time stapling receipts from earlier that morning I assume, as there was just one person in front of me, he was an older gentleman and trying to be patient. He just wanted to pay but we all had to wait while she did whatever it was she was doing. And then after waiting a few minutes, she looks over at the line cook he was sitting on a chair next to the counter. We had no idea he was looking to be serviced and apparently, he was more important than the customers in front of her. He then tells her no, no, take care of them. She refuses him.and says tried to take his order again. He tells her again to take care of the customer first. She smiles in defeat and then takes care.ofnthe older gentleman. He would like to lay and go. Transaction took nothing but a minute if that. Then it was my turn, I asked.for.some napkins, she gave them to me and I sat back down. Then she continued on with the employee. When we finished, we checked out. Food was very inexpensive. We paid $24 for 3 people. We have a nice tip and went on our way. I...
Read moreAs far as the food itself goes, I cannot give my 2 cents. However, I will give you this. Me and my wife came in at 10:55am. Sat down at an open table. The place was not busy. There were 2 tables with guests already sitting and eating. We sat until 11:01 until we were finally acknowledged by a woman who just then had looked up from her phone. She glanced up long enough to notice 2 new faces! Instead of coming to greet us and welcome us in. She insists to inform us from across the dining area that breakfast is no longer being served and that lunch was the only option. We had driven from Warrenton, the otherside of Louisburg just to eat here for a breakfast on a Friday morning. Made a plan of it. What a disgraceful disappointment we were left with. If I could give some advice. Welcome your customers in a polite and timely manner. Educate your customers on what you DO have to offer. And then you may discover how to begin to REALLY succeed as a business! Thank you for the ability to give honest feedback to places and people who deserve such. Trust me, I give WAYYY more 5 out of 5 stars when and where possible. This one just missed the boat and the entire ocean! 👏 👏 👏...
