I haven’t been back to Bunnell in such a long time, and I was in town looking to grab a bite to eat. After some digging around on Google, I found this place, Southside Grille. I spoke with a couple of ladies briefly before my food was ready, and they were so kind. One of them, Tonda, told me that the restaurant itself had not been there for very long, about 4 years or so. The place inside wasn’t very busy, but I’m sure that’s a different story depending on the day or time. Once I got my food, which was Mozzarella Sticks with marinara sauce (it was hot instead of cold) and a Butch Burger (made Medium and a fried egg on top), my mouth was drooling at the size of the burger. It came with fries and I had the decision of drink to be a Sweet Tea (Gold Peak). I highly recommend this place, whether you’re passing through, looking for a local burger joint, or if you’re craving that hunger feeling. A place I would give the highest compliment to. If I could’ve given more than 5 stars, I would’ve given 10! Try this place. I beg you! You won’t be disappointed!

So glad to have found this small gem of a restaurant! In Bunnell on US 1, it is a small place with inside and outdoor seating and a small bar. I came for a lunch special of a lobster roll which I was so happy to see was done “Connecticut” style meaning warm with melted butter and not Maine style which is cold and with mayo. It came with delicious fries and good coleslaw too for a reasonable price. The regular menu is pretty extensive with fish and other seafood items plus burgers and wraps etc. Prime rib dinners are served three nights per week My husband had mahi mahi grilled in a wrap and it was also fresh and tasty. We plan to have Southside Grille on our rotation!

During our Florida vacation, we stumbled upon this restaurant and had an amazing time. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted, and our waitress, Suzanne, provided exceptional service throughout our visit. We decided to try the grouper sandwich with homemade potato fries, and we were delighted by the flavors and quality. To top it off, we indulged in the homemade key lime cheesecake for dessert, which was absolutely fantastic. We're already looking forward to our next trip to the area, as we'll definitely be returning to this wonderful restaurant.

This was our first time trying Southside Grille but as a takeout. Amanda took our phone order and handled our pickup. She was extremely professional, personable and thorough. She gave us the specials of the day and even informed us that they had no fresh basil for the South Beach Chicken dish we ordered. Regarding the food….the aforementioned chicken was moist and the goat cheese topping was tasty. However, the fresh vegetables were not fresh as advertised. I’ve been in this business in NYC for 23 years in every capacity including prep chef. Their vegetables were either frozen or out of a can and did not enhance an otherwise good dish. I ordered their French Dip hoagie but with prime rib and peppers, onions and mushrooms. The meat was excellent but there were almost no peppers, onions or mushrooms. The side of fries were too few in proportion to the sandwich and a bit soggy. We will go there for a sit down dinner and hopefully get their prime rib if available. All the best ….Steve….and then we came for dinner Saturday night. I called ahead to see if reservations were necessary and spoke to an extremely nice young lady by the name of Ashley. She was very informative and helpful and while seated stopped by to say hi. Margie, the owner was working the floor, met us as we entered and came by several times to check on us. Our server,Taylor was also extremely friendly and helpful…their staff is overall great. My wife finally had their prime rib queen cut and absolutely loved it along with fresh string beans and potato while I had the prime rib hoagie, also very good. We were quite satisfied with the entire experience and plan to come back for their lobster roll Tuesday...

Me and my wife eat at Southside grill quite often. I really must say that is the hidden gem in Flagler county. Even though this building may be located in bunnell do not let that fool you (diamond in the rough). They have a wide variety from surf and turf down to a Philly cheesesteak that is amazing. We have been visiting Southside from the beginning since it moved to bunnell although it may have had its problems in the past (aka covid) I would definitely recommend everybody to give it a shot again Keith the chef does an amazing job along with his staff of totally transforming the Southside grill. I just want to say Butch and Marge you doing amazing job of serving our community and giving us a comfortable relaxing positive environment through the majority of your staff. Amanda and val does an amazing job at the bar and serving all the customers with a fun positive attitude with a hint of sassiness. With the negative world we live in it is quite a blessing that there is an establishment with great food and great company and a family environment thank you so much for all you do for us. And it is wonderful not to have another chain restaurant in Flagler county. ...
