In general, I have always loved Subway. I have eaten their subs for years. This subway is not the best one I've ever visited, but my most recent visit was rediculously bad. It is currently June which, anyone in NC knows, is an extremely hot time of year. When my husband and I entered this store we could tell right away that something wasn't right. It was almost as hot inside as it was outside! Once we got inside, we could hear the EXTREMELY sweaty employees complaining that they could barely stand it. Also, the area where the meats and veg are kept were being left open. Because of the heat, there was odd condensation all over the meats, and the veg looked old and wilted/slimy. There were flies everywhere, landing on the questionable meats and veg and the cutting boards where the food goes. The 1 knife that they had, which was already sitting out when we walked in, was being used to cut every single sandwhich & was not, at any point between any of the orders, being cleaned. So basically, had I gotten a sandwhich that day, I would have had questionably temp'd meats topped with fly droppings and random ppl's sweat, slimy/brown lettace, tomatoes, onions etc., and finally I would have gotten to taste all the meats, veg & sauces from god knows how many sandwhiches that came before me! On top of ALL of that, while we waited on the ppl in front of us & our order to get done, we got to hear all about the personal lives and plans for later that weekend of the ppl working there. As a CSM at a grocery store for years, I understand that (esp with teen employees) its difficult to always control the "side talk", but it is an issue that needs to be addressed. Paying customers DO NOT want to hear about how "Billy" cheated on "Jenny", or what parties the emplyees are going to get "turnt up" when they get off work. ONLY because my kids were starving, and we were on a limited time frame, did we decide to go ahead & get a few of the little pizza's that are kept in their freezer. I will say that they were quite good, which is why I gave 2 stars. Like I said before, I enjoy Subway as a whole, and we usually always enjoy everything we get from all of their stores, spacifically this location. My family has eaten there MANY times and have rarely had any problems at all, & NEVER any to this degree. I'm not sure what was happening on this particular day, but I truly hope that these problems are being fixed. I will go back again, but if things haven't been fixed, sadly it will prob be the last time we visit...
Read moreI would have rated this place lower than 1 star but it's not an option. This new management sucks! These employees are not trained properly and are extremely slow. There is constantly some food that they are out of. When we walk into the store we are not greeted. Today for LUNCH at 11 am there is only 1 person working! This is such poor service. This management needs to find another job because you have no idea what you are doing. Dawn is sweet though. Took 17 mins to get my food and that was with 2 people in front of me. BRING THE OLD...
Read moreCan someone please explain how it is okay to have a store that waits on individual customers to be okay with one person ordering 10 individual sandwiches (not calling it in) then the very next customer ordering seven sandwiches (all different) while multiple other people are waiting on their lunch break just trying to get a sandwich and get back to work on time? There has to be a point where each customer is equally important! What an absolute joke of customer appreciation! I am not a sandwich shop manager and I am sure I would...
