The Italian Bistro — Restaurant in Burkesville

What a great addition to Burkesville Ky food choices! They have just been open for a few months and still figuring things out. Overall a great experience! Ordered the meatball appetizer and they were amazing. My wife ordered the cheese ravioli with the Vodka sauce. So good! I ordered the Alfredo with Baked chicken. It was also very good. We ordered a bottle of wine as well. The wine and food were all reasonably priced. The reason I didn’t give 5 for the food was I felt like the breadsticks were undercooked and the cheese ravioli was overcooked just a smidge. Service was good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. However, we ordered a bottle of wine and instead of pouring a little in the glass for one of us to taste, she just filled the glasses up. I know it’s a small thing, but sometimes the small things matter to the experience. Overall, Food had excellent flavors, staff were super friendly and attentive. I thought this would be a great place to eat looking at the existing reviews. I was wrong. Firstly, my husband ordered a side salad and I ordered a Cesar side salad. The wrong salads were brought out. When they got the correct salads to us we asked for a bit more dressing. The waitress looked at us like she didn't understand and then ignored us and never brought the dressing. An hour later we finally got our food. My Alfredo tasted like it came from a jar and my husband's spaghetti was stuck together and under cooked. He did say the meatballs were tasty. When we received the bill we were charged for the full size Cesar salad instead of the side that was ordered. Needless to say we won't be returning. Too bad because we had high hopes...

Horrible service Soon as we walk in the door, the girl couldn’t find pen to write with then she knocked everything off the stand We did get seated there was five host sitting down at the front door.
