This being a new restaurant, I like to either go full on good or full on bad. In this situation, they were pretty dang good. So, I hope they survive this location’s penchant for killing restaurants.
I ordered takeout, and got wings, waffles, and a tea. All three tasted great. I had a few lemon honey wings, and the buffalo. Both were good, but I hope they jazz up the buffalo in the future. Also, the size of the wings definitely make good on the price. The waffles were awesome! However, the size wasn’t. Finally, the tea was pretty awesome. I tried the tri-citrus, and all three flavors came out; nothing really dominated. Overall, most of the four star comes from the food being good.
The restaurant looked nice when I was in there. The people were friendly. Even the young employees seem knowledgeable enough and professional. Prices were a bit above the value, but not too much. (Edit): The tea is actually too high priced for the amount. (End Edit) They were pretty fast preparing, and my meal was prepared in the 25 minutes that the girl told me.
Now for the bad. The management needs to get better at the internet. Nowadays, if you have a restaurant, you have the full internet presence well before you open. By the time anyone reads this, all this will probably be fixed. But, it really speaks to the management that it was actually kind of hard to find a phone number. The menu was on Facebook, and for some reason there is also a video of the menu??? Apparently there is also an instagram, but that just is basically another Facebook. Restaurants need Google. Menu, phone number, location on Google maps (which I had to add), and hours have to be online on Google. Yelp sucks, and I don’t trust anybody that uses it for their decisions.
Basically, this is a 4.5 star restaurant. Prices are slightly high, but that’s the only problem. As I stated above, the location they are in is a serial killer of restaurants. So, please visit this place. Chuy’s died because they were never open. The rolled ice cream place died because the prices were unbelievably high for the crumbs of food you received. The burger place died because of mediocre food. Basically, every restaurant after Gambino’s (which died because of terrible, terrible, despicable, empty headed second owners) all did something wrong, and this place does pretty much everything right. So, I hope they stay.
PS - I wish that there was an actual chicken and waffles option. Just a couple tenders and a plain waffle... not that hard. It would eliminate the confusion that is obviously present.
PSS - Any additional options should be listed on the menu. “Fruit,” “Other Toppings,” and the additions for the teas are way too vague, and will only lead to the poor cashiers having to answer that question way too many times. This applies to the paper menu only, as I don’t remember if there was a posted...
Read moreSunday 1.24.2021 around 4:50pm. We went here for the first time today and got the strawberry mojito, mango green tea, birthday cake waffle, and strawberry banana Nutella waffle to go. Everything was tasty. The drinks were refreshing with lots of fruit bits on the bottom. The waffles were slightly crispy on the outside, which were very similar to the street waffles I had in Brussels. The girl at the counter was nice and got our order right. However, she forgot to add whipped cream (to my Nutella waffle) and the cherry to the the birthday cake waffle. Once again, the flavor and texture were enjoyable. We waited at least 12 min for our order, and we were the only order they had. There were three employees total at the time. The two guys in the kitchen came out and chatted with the girl about personal matters for a couple of minutes, which distracted her and ultimately she forgot some toppings. Lol. I would recommend this place, but next time I would open the to go box to check for all...
Read moreThe wings were good. The fried pickles were good. Fries are also good. I will recommend this place for their food, but as their service, it lacks. I don't know if it was because it was the last 2 hrs of the restaurant being open, and it was slow for the people. Whatever the reason it was, the service lacked when we were ordering our food it's like their couldn't hear us or they were distracted. I wanted a waffle that didn't get it because they didn't put it in the order. I was disappointed with that, but then they brought our food and forgot the fried pickles. Once we asked about them, they started working on that, and then they sat on the counter for about 7-11 minutes. Eventually, we stood up and asked about them again they gave us the pickles. Overall service it was not there. I'm not sure what the reason was the lack of attention, but the food was great, so I would still recommend it just be aware of the fact service might or might...
