This place is absolutely the best Pub we have ever been to. This was our 1st time there, and their burgers were highly recommended. Well, their burgers we're better than a lot of burgers I have ever eaten. It was like I had made a burger at home good, and the buns they use made it even better. On top of the great food, the service was great. Definitely will be back to try more food. Update: After 2 years, I am back in the area and decided to stop by and get a burger and chips. Their burger is still the best I've ever had. Their chips are by far the best homemade chips. I Highly, Highly recommend eating here if you are in the area.

By far the best cheeseburger I have had in easily 20 years maybe possibly my entire life. Everything was homemade from the burger patty itself, the bun, the french fries, the chips, even the cocktail and tartar sauce. Oh yes don't forget the fried mushrooms. I'm not a big mushroom fan, but I found them quite good. The condiments come on the side so you can fix it to your liking. My mom had ordered the shrimp basket and I tasted the shrimp and it was delicious. Don't let the exterior fool you it may look like a simple little establishment no dress code pretty basic place, but the food is amazing.

We wer e camping nearby and looking for a place to eat, saw the reviews for Rev. Jim's and thought we'd give it a try. Driving up the the place we almost had second thoughts. It looked deserted and a bit rough. We drove around back though and were surprised to see a full parking lot. We sat on the deck out back and were served by the most unlikely server ever. But he was good, and the burgers were outstanding. Top 10 of my life, actually. And the fries were just as good too. This place is an hour+ from our home, but I may drive up here again just to watch a game and enjoy a world class burger.

Gets 4 stars for the burger! Very good, thick juicy, seasoned well and served with several ice cold beers. Loses a star because it took 45 minutes to get the food out. In all fairness they told us ahead of time it was going to take that long, guess they were short on cooks or something today. Staff was very friendly though, and running around trying to make sure everyone was taken care of. It is a dive bar, but has a nice view off the back deck. Smoking is allowed inside and out, and lots of the regulars and "bikers" do smoke. I say "bikers" because it's not like the place is full of 1% Bandidos. These are your folks who like to put on their Harley gear on the weekends and go for a ride, so don't sweat the "Biker bar" appearance. I'll go again when...

This is the best bar in the Hill Country. The beer is cheap, and they have the best burgers around that I've ever had. You can bring your own liquor and purchase setups here on the cheap too. Live music happens all the time and the River Rats brought the house down Saturday night--honestly, how does a band like that play for no cover? The management and staff really know their customers, and this place is a nice clean neighborhood establishment doubling as a motorcycle mecca with bike-only parking in the front and a beautiful deck out back overlooking Buchannan Dam. The side area is covered and shaded. I come here all the time and thought I'd reviewed it long ago. Bob, Missy, Cory, Lou, and...

Rev Jim’s is an outdoor Pub located behind Buchanan Dam on Hwy 29 providing jukebox tunes, shuffleboard and billiards. It’s family-friendly, BYOB- they provide setups, the beer is typically ice cold, and they also serve house wines, White Claw and Cayman Jack. The food is great; their burgers are delicious, hand-formed and served with either fries, kettle chips or you can ask for onion rings. Their fried shrimp are big and they also serve grilled chicken sandwiches as well. Summer time events sometimes includes live music and chili cook-offs, so be sure to call for info as the website isn’t always current. We love every one who work here, as it’s like one big,...
