the food was ok, had the potential to be much better, staff, epecially head waitress was rude to everyone, not just us, i mean her overall demeanor n personality wasnt even kosher for back of the house, let alone front n center- idont see how she makes any tips like that and probably ruins a ton of business for this would-be 'nice' place! They also seem penny pinching, probably frim the lack of custoners, but coleslaw def needed to be 86'd days ago and i had2 ask for lemon wedges 3times to finally end up with at least 1 poor little wedge per piece of fish imean gee thx, same with napkins, stingy! its to cut costs ikno & lazy like custos are inconvienences?! wth?! need to change out lard for deep friers cuz everything looks overdone and has burnt taste until its cleaned- no golden brown beer batter fish which were damn good size pieces but coulda been waaaay better w/a lil pride n maintenance, ive done restaurant scene for yrs so ikno, not jus a tourist- soooo many tables were being 1/2ass wiped with dirty rag it was hard to pick a place to sit despite bein empty! finally we asked for clean rag and did the table ourselves,,, cmon man! website says 10pm close but ritenow they want you out by 730pm when it was brought to their attention all she did was make excuses about how they have no control over it and they're short-staffed and they have to change closing times more than once just complaining to the customers when in my head I have a million complaints it was just a very weird evening now I know why it felt like we weren't wanted and we worry bother because I walked in at 6:45 and they wanted to close by 7:30 it was a shity dinner through and through but it had potential that's why I gave it to Stars cuz I believe it's one or two bad apples ruining this whole place I wish I had the money to buy it and change it around cuz it's very simple really just be decent to people take a little pride in your work and you'll have a...

I asked for Coffee, and when the Server poured it, you could smell it was old, almost burnt smell, I asked if it was old could she make fresh, and she immediately got loud telling me the people that just left were drinking it, they didn't complain! I wanted Fish & Chips, it gave 3 fry types, curly, crinkle, or Steak fries, she tried to tell me it comes with crinkle only, so I asked if I read that wrong, and picked up the menu again, and she then said I could get Steak fries then. No lemons for our waters, and only a single thin wedge for my Fish which was cooked in grease that should have been changed! She was short with my wife for asking menu questions, and rude! They had 2 TV's, inaudible. The Staff stood by the Cook window talking about their personal relationships, which was drama we didn't want to hear about. Our server spoke to us almost in a 3rd party kind of way, and was rude in Manor while acting as if she was helping us saying the usual phrases, can I get you anything else; as she was walking away from us. It was a very bad Dinner experience! I still tipped, but I shouldn't have after all the combative conversation just trying to...

If you are disabled do not patronize this restaurant. If you support the right of disabled people, don't patronize this restaurant. My husband and I were visiting the Lexington area recently, and stopped in at Big George's Coney Island for breakfast. My husband is disabled and uses our service dog for balance and fall assistance.

We were no sooner through the front door with our service dog on a lead on May 30, when the man cooking started shouting at us from across the restaurant, saying "No, no dogs in here, take him out now." When I explained he was a service dog and was needed by my husband, he said "No. No dogs, period. I don't care what kind of dog he is, I can't cook with a dog around, I have allergies."

I tried to tell him this was a violation of federal law, but he became more agitated and shouted, "Now you get out, too."

When I appealed to the waitresses, they shrugged and said, "We can't get involved, it's between you and him." I asked the man cooking what he would do if a blind patron came into the restaurant. "Same thing" he shouted angrily. "No dogs. No dogs."

Stand up for those who need assistance to live and find another...

Stopped in at noon on a Sunday. We sat down immediately, and the waitress took our drink order right away. She took our food order a few minutes later. Then we waited! 45 minutes. We realize it was Sunday and a busy time, so we just waited patiently. Servers kept a positive attitude, and that helped. Cooks had tons of tickets you could see, so you almost felt bad. The fact that some orders would go to tables that arrived after we ordered wasn't good business, though. The table next to us with 2 people, just like we had, was finished eating when we got our food. We had already ordered when they sat down. Anyway, the food was delicious and hot once it did arrive. 2 people, 2 breakfast meals, 2 waters, Almost $30 -4 Stars

Meat Lovers Omelette pictured. Plenty busy on a St Patrick's day Sunday. The two waitresses still worked the tables quickly. My cups of coffee and water were never empty unless I declined. Personable friendly service is a bonus that I don't expect but the staff deliver here even with many customers. The cook actually provided me with "extra extra crispy hash browns" I requested as Big George's cook was one of the few that made my request a reality. Solid outcome for what I expected to be a run of the mill greasy spoon.

The Coney Island restaurant on the outskirts of Port Huron on M-25 in Lakeport has been around for more than a decade, and the restaurant is still going strong. The restaurant offers a delicious menu of food from Coney Dogs and gyros to Philly steaks, fish and chips, and even more delicious food options! The service is good, though it’s a little more complicated with the atmosphere being quiet compared to other restaurants in the area. Given we went for dinner on a Friday evening, I understand.
