Where do i start. We have been here MULTIPLE times before never had an issue with food nor service. BUT, today was a whole new story. As my family and I ordered the waitress (un-named) recommended the fish to my mother. After tasting the fish, i could see the uncomfortable position she was in as she NEVER wants to complain. I am different and feel issues need to be resolved for future times. I personally went to the waitress and informed her that the fish was over undercooked and had barely any fish inside. (My mother even let my cousin try it to get a second perspective on it. In which my cousin didn't like it either). I asked for a replacement order of two pancakes. The manager (un-named) came to our table to (rudley) inform us that will not take any money off the order, would not give two pancakes, and that we ate all the fish and then returned it. (Remind you there was a minuscule amount of fish in the first place). She rudley walked away. Our original server returned with our bill and rudley walked away and says "have a good day." I gathered myself and went to the server and said "that's not happening, atleast take half of the price off." They refused. I informed them that my family and i "tip the bill" everywhere we go and that she just lost her tip. She replied with " i don't care, your sh**y customers anyway". I replied with a vulgure comment and was onslaughted by another customer with words. I payed my bill, tipped 29 cents and was leaving when the owner(un-named) pulled up in his vehicle and confronted me about the situation. He advised "i will have a long talk with her." Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYMORE. Sad to say about this restaurant knowing they are so well reviewed and what not. But time goes to show that your never really welcome into local businesses. I hope they change they're ways soon. Until then, you lost customers and more familes that i will recommend to THE PALACE on saginaw street and maple rd crossraods....
Read moreGood food, biscuits and gravy was a little bland for my taste but not bad at all. Only actually gripe I have is that they were playing family life radio or some other Christian radio station. I don't care if people are religious but forcing it on the customers kinda sucks. Otherwise great place, friendly staff, good food. Prices are good for the portions.
Edit after owners rather defensive reply: if there is no way to change the music it's not a choice. It's a Mexican restaurant you expect music in Spanish, it is not the same as Christian music in any way. I didn't imply you were making me Christian, and I'm glad you helped the Muslim man, I would kind of expect it. Dietary restriction and going against them even if they are religiously imposed is actually a crime if it's knowingly done. I thought my review was fair and honest, I've changed it to reflect new interactions. But hope your business does great, I just won't be...
Read moreMy man has been coming here his whole life, when we started dating almost 12 years ago he brought me here and it felt so comfortable and warming as soon as you walk in, and the food is AMAZING! 12 years later and the only thing that's changed is the updates they've done to place (it looks so modern and beautiful) the service is the best around, always smiling and super helpful if you need it. The newest update I'm most happy to see is all the patriotic menus. The way the world is going now a days, we need to see more love and support for our military and fallen soldiers who fought for all of this freedom we are all so lucky to have for their braveness. Thank you U.S. Family Diner for showing support for our veterans, and never changing the way you guys operate. This place is an...
