Skip's — Restaurant in Buxton

We went to see a friend's band on Fri night. It seemed to be a very small neighborhood bar with pool tables, until they opened the wall into a large function room with a stage and dance floor. 8 good sized tables in that area with folding chairs and a few hi-tops with bar chairs. The bar was well-stocked and the drinks were good but they don't seem to serve food normally. Not even snack food. When pressed they offered hot dogs or frozen pizza. The space and ladies' room were clean. Really the only big problem was you can't tell where the entry door is. It turned out to be on the side of the building in complete darkness. Felt sketchy. Skip's is fabulous local venue offering a little something for everyone! It is a very well cared for establishment with many recent upgrades, such as the amazing outdoor patio space, new furniture and a full well rounded menu.

My guy and I were motorcycling around and discovered this spot close to our new home. We love to dance, he plays pool and loved the regulation tables and we had some awesome chicken wings. We learned that they are open for breakfast at 9, have a morning and afternoon happy hour, and they have an outdoor-in- the -back picnic area.
