I used to think the same thing as the reviews I read about the owner be nice and friendly, must be the previous owner because the experience I had with the owner on 10-13-22 was not a pleasant nor a friendly interaction at all, after I simply asked for some extra condiments as my food that I ordered over the phone was not made as ordered. I even asked her before leaving if my extra requests were on my sub and they weren't upon opening it in my vehicle and going back to get what I had paid for. She immediately blew up at me and threw her weight around as the owner while pointing her finger at me like scolding a child. I could not believe this owner took offense to a simple request as I never send things back. My 3 previous subs did not have my requests on them neither as I opened them at work but was charged for it so I took it back since this was the 4th incorrect sub. If this restaurants new owner responds this way to simple requests they will not be in business long which is a shame as it did make my favorite sub, so after this altercation and a unpleasant one, I will never set foot in Mannie's again and I have instructed my whole work force to pitch their menus from Mannie's since they cannot make a simple sub with the extras requested but tell you the customer that's it made right because the owner made it. If it's made wrong it doesn't matter who made it, wrong is wrong and being treated that way by the owner as a customer who visits frequently is pretty sad. I guess I'll have to go to the other Sub shops to get my food made the right way and the way the customer asks without being bullied by the owner as she wanted to abuse her power immediately. All in all it was a horrible experience, but maybe this post will help others think about going to Mannie's so they don't get treated like someone who doesn't matter which in fact we the customers can make or break their business. Also they posted a FB video about being a specific customer...then don't bother going there! I feel the need to point out that there was a gentleman at the counter before me who was upset about his order, I can understand, we all have been there before. BUT this gentleman was yelling at the counter to what I found out was the owner. She was so polite and nice to him but no matter what she tried to say he would cut her off yelling over her and acting belligerent. I was embarrassed for him…. With that being said I see he has left a review and he stated that he ordered his employees never to go there again..? We just moved to the area and thought we would try this pizza based on reviews. I recieved the confirmation and delivery was about 30 minutes later than expected, but that is not thier fault with a third party delivery service. My issue is that when I recieved the Stromboli the outside was cooked, but beyond the crust was a layer of pizza dough. It was so chewy and terrible and blended with the cheese. I tried to cut around it to not waste $30 on a Stromboli and cheese bread, but it was the entire Stromboli and uneditable. I called to express concerns and sent a picture to the third party delivery service who then reached out to this company immediately. They denied my evaluation and concern of pizza dough, and reported that it was cheese and did not offer anything.
