Otto's Bakery & Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Byron

The first time I went to Otto's Bakery was today. Saturday morning. A busy ,place that you might miss driving by, which I have, but that is another story. Small family owned business. All I kept hearing from a variety of people, in the line ahead of me was " I'll take an apple fritter", so, my sister and I ordered Apple Fritters, Cinnamon Carmel with nuts, Maple Long Johns, glazed twists, ooooh I took my first bite (apple fritter-of course) it was incredible, fresh, warm, sweet...I must admit, I tried 1/2 of several kinds, how could I resist. Awesome breads, especially the Dark Rye. Love the Apple Fritters and Cinnamon Rolls (I buy them in a 4 pack). Friendly staff. They will go out of their way to help you... even carry your order out. This is a small bakery with lots of delicious choices. It sometimes can be a little crowded because people know it is delicious! Big city expectations and big city manors are not appreciated by us regular customers!!! PS leave your bank...

The donuts are good but not the best. After reading the reviews my expectations may have been too high. When entering the shop I was surprised at how crowded it was with clutter and stuff. No people. We were eventually greeted by staff. The place wasn’t well lit, the donuts in the display were not appetizing to look at. The donuts we ordered were good, though not the best.
