My recent visit to Migas Café in Cabo Rojo left me quite disappointed, particularly with how their pricing and service model impacted the overall experience, especially from a vegan/vegetarian perspective.
While it's great to see plant-based milk options, the $2 upcharge for oat milk in coffee felt exorbitant and unjustified. This isn't for a premium, organic brand; it appears to be standard Costco oat milk, which is often less expensive than regular dairy milk. This practice feels like an unfair penalty for choosing a dairy-free option, rather than a reasonable cost recovery.
Beyond that specific point, the service was frustratingly slow and disorganized. It's clear this isn't the fault of the individual staff members, but rather an issue stemming from poor management and understaffing. Early in the morning, there was only one employee attempting to manage at least six tables, leading to overwhelmed service. We experienced incorrect orders and a complete lack of introduction or proper communication from our waiter, who seemed incredibly stretched thin.
Furthermore, when it came time to pay, instead of politely informing us upfront that they couldn't process payments at the table, they simply brought the check and then indicated we had to go to the counter. A simple heads-up earlier could have saved time and avoided confusion.
Overall, the value proposition at Migas Café, especially for those seeking alternatives, is simply not there. The overcharging for basic plant-based options or sides combined with the noticeable strain on understaffed employees creates a poor dining experience....

Absolutely loved this place! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, lively, and welcoming. The service was attentive without being overbearing — our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations.
Now, the food… phenomenal. The guava and cheese french toasts were over the top. The coffee was rich and smooth, and their fresh-pressed juices were a refreshing touch.
What really stood out was the attention to detail — from the thoughtful plating to the locally sourced ingredients and even the cozy, stylish decor. It’s clear this place takes pride in what they do.
We’ll definitely be back — this spot has officially become our go-to brunch destination in Cabo Rojo....
Read moreUnfortunately bad experience!!! Yesterday I went with my family we were a party of 9. I ordered the chicken breast, the texture of the meat felt synthetic, the tostones were overfried. My daughter ordered the open face toast with smoked salmon, the salmon was raw and definitely not smoked the portion were small pieces that she had to construct herself, especially for the elevated price which didn’t represent at all. We tried to explain towards the plate but waiter said that’s how it’s served. My son ordered the Nutella pancakes which were dense and raw, we didn’t even dare to say nothing since the servíce was not...
